Why blockbuster trades make an organization worse. SHORT TERM

Why it is bad for toronto.   The reason behind this article is due to the recent trade between Miami and Toronto. Also it is that all that I have heard in the last couple of days is that the blue jays are now contenders in the AL east. Which would make sense, because of the Red Sox continue to fall each year. Along with the Yankees new struggles in offense and in their starting rotation. But you cannot forget about the orioles, who shocked everyone last year. With excellent pitching and

Is Mike Redmond the next Joe Girardi?

I wonder if Mike Redmond will ultimately follow the path of Joe Girardi. Both are former catchers who got their first MLB manager gigs with recently gutted and very young Marlin teams. Before I begin, a quick recap for those who don't know what has been going on.   A while back, Thrylos started a thread by posting that, according to a source, Scott Baker had signed a 3 year contract with the Twins. The deal had not been announced, but Thrylos said it was signed and done, and it would be announced. A few people responded in disbelief, Thrylos responded in a demeaning fashion. A few days ago, news came out that Baker actually signed with the Cubs. The thread turned into a pi

Twins Should Follow Blue Jays Bold Lead

This article was originally posted at Knuckleballsblog.com. I’ve been feeling under the weather the past couple of weeks and that tends to make me grumpy. I’m feeling much better, but apparently the grumpiness is not wearing off quickly. The Toronto-Miami trade announced Tuesday didn’t help my mood much, either.   http://knuckleballsblog.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/grumpydog.bmp Grumpy blogger   We really should have seen this coming. It’s not like Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria has never c
