  1. Prospects usually don't spend much time in AAA on the way up. It is usually for guys that fill in in case of injury or poor performance at the MLB level. Out of a typical 25 man AAA roster, maybe 3 or 4 or MAYBE 5 are prospects w/o any previous MLB experience.
  2. Exactly. Why sign them? Give your own minor league players a shot first. This kind of dumpster diving is what Terry Ryan was criticized for. Only Falvey is compounding it by using these dumpster finds in regular season games that actually count. Ryan did nearly all of his garbage digging in the offseason. Spring training usually weeded out the worst ones.
  3. He's suffering from im-not-good-enough-to-pitch-in-the-majors-itus. My guess is that the way it plays out is that Santiago will be the 26th man for the double header Saturday. Belisle is released after the double header. Gibson starts Sunday and gets demoted (or released). Haley replaces him Monday. So, yes, I guess I am expecting Nik Turley to show enough Friday against Cleveland to remain in the rotation ahead of Gibson.
  4. Wilk, Haley. Jury is still out on Turley. The list is long, but certainly not distinguished.
  5. The offense is real. I really don't think anyone is playing over their heads, other than maybe Sano slightly. The pitching staff is barely holding on IMO. It seems on the brink of implosion every night. Think what kind of a disaster a month long absence by Santana or Duffey would be. IMO, you can't have that level of dependence on two pitchers and sustain success over a 162 game season.
  6. So 3 recent Falvey signees basically crapped the bed last night for Rochester. I thought he was the guy that was supposed to know pitchers. His track record this year is terrible.
  7. I don't see any scenario in which any team gives up a quality MLB starting pitcher (which is what a 3-4 would be) for Eddie Rosario. Not by himself. Pitching is the far more valued commodity. Would you give up Mejia to get Rosario? And don't say "yes, if I had surplus pitching." No one does. NO ONE.
  8. Seriously, how long with Ruiz? They are going to mess up his arm.
  9. Max about to kick an insurance field goal. Ok. Maybe Vargas.
  10. What exactly is the ground rule? Are the tops of the wall in play or not?
  11. How long do they stick with Ruiz? He's terrible.
  12. Our back up catcher is a better pitcher than yours!
  13. So, if you had been told before the game that the Twins would hit 4 HR, have 26 hits and score 19, you'd probably be thinking 8 RBI for Miguel.
  14. 13 (and counting) run cushion. I would assume for Pressly. I can't imagine any reason to run anyone else out there.
  15. Sheesh. The Mariner defenders have quit playing.
  16. Is 11 runs enough for Pressly? I suppose we'll find out. Unless the Twins score some more...
  17. Figure they'll bring Buxton in for Robbie after this at bat? My guess is yes.
  18. All that and you never answered the question.
  19. I think that is what Molitor was afraid of. Annuh one run homer. Annuh there's a two run homer...
