  1. Bremer needs to have his eye glass prescription updated. That ball was 15 feet short and 10 feet foul.
  2. Looks like Paul was outmanaged here tonight. Clearly, the Twins pitchers are not pitching Calhoun correctly. That's not all on Paul, but it's his job direct a change in the approach against a hitter. The double steal. That's a case of the Twins not being in position to make a play. That's the game in a nutshell. Poor planning. Poor execution.
  3. Makes one wonder what Molitor was scratching.
  4. That also has to be an error. They might as well not even keep fielding records.
  5. You know, Bremer keeps saying CG for Ervin. It's only a CG if the Twins don't score or score more than 1.
  6. But 69 PA vs LHP seems about right for half a minor league season. Indeed, Edgar Corcino has 70 at bats vs LHP. He's a switch hitter with better numbers vs LHP. So, Gordon isn't really sitting vs LHP. The hope is that he eventually gets better.
  7. Mauer has to hit in the 9th for Castro, does he not?
  8. Belise and Boshers warming? Why not Rogers?
  9. A hit? He bobbled it in his glove but an on target throw still gets him. A MLB infielder has to make that play and should be charged with an error if he does not.
  10. Baseballus interruptus. Probably a squirrel at a substation.
  11. Slight possibility that those fans who appeared on the broadcast a moment ago are intoxicated.
  12. It's hard to get ready for those night games after a day game...
  13. 7 pitches to Dozier. Ervin threw 9 in his entire first inning...
  14. Maybe pitch Calhoun differently. 5 HR in 7 games is poor pitch selection and/or poor scouting. The guy isn't Jim Thome.
  15. If the AA manager is intentionally giving Gordon days off vs LHP I consider that a developmental failure. He isn't going to get better vs LHP if he doesn't face them.
  16. Oh yeah. That's right. I had forgotten that. He's good to go and almost certainly will be the guy.
  17. Gibson was still pitching to a Trout-less Angels lineup. It's like pitching to the Twins without Sano. Actually, considerably worse. It's not a lineup that is going to scare you. Let's see how Kyle fares against Baltimore. Their season is going down the drain, but they still have dangerous offensive players. They have 6 guys with 12 or more HR.
  18. It means he's damaged goods and likely untradeable.
  19. Unless someone else lands on the DL, it can't be Jorge. The Twins used the DL exception to the 10 day rule to call up Busenitz.
  20. No one is saying Santana is dead yet, but he's much more likely to be a 4 ERA starter going forward than one with a sub 3 ERA.
  21. If it's on the internet, it HAS to be true...
