  1. I for one am SHOCKED that this Murderer’s Row lineup hasn’t dented the scoreboard. Anyone else have the feeling that this is Molitor’s way of publicly saying “This is what I have to work with gang”?
  2. He has a career OPS+ of 79 in over 1000 PA. Is this truly something to be worried about? Sure, maybe someday he’ll actually be a legitimate MLB hitter. But the fantasy of him being some kind of otherwordly player is over.
  3. Not sure if it is loss of focus, fatigue (which it should not be), getting “figured out” by the league, injury or something else. But Gibson and now Berrios have been horrid since their final start in July. This isn’t SSS anymore. This is 1/4 of the season to date for both. Berrios in his last 7 starts has given up 7 HR in 33 IP with an ERA well north of 5. If those two aren’t top 30 pitchers in the AL this team isn’t doing anything for YEARS.
  4. This is literally what you typed: I’m not sure why anyone is okay with harming him and his family financially by sitting him the rest of the year. Sure, it's a business, but people who run their businesses by unfairly harming other people end up harming themselves by losing good relationships and creating a bad reputation for themselves.
  5. He’s been in AAA since mid July. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=gimene001chr&type=bgl&year=2018
  6. I can’t wait to see the win expectancy chart from tonight no matter what happens the rest of the way. Gonna look like a seismograph.
  7. And now Sano can’t hit fastballs down the middle. Yay!
  8. The current MLB batting average is .249. It hasn’t been below .250 since 1972, the season prior to the DH being implemented in the AL. If errors were actually called as they were then, I bet it would be a couple points lower still.
  9. How is there only one error on the board? Who didn’t get charged? Jorge or Joe?
  10. I’m not having the time of my life. But, that moonshot, she’s like the wind. And now, eyes hungry.
  11. These are the types of things that happen when pitch # 90 is being thrown in the 4th inning.
  12. Even Beltre seemed surprised it wasn’t called. But I suspect that was a 3rd MLB game vs 20 year vet call.
  13. Everyone in the stadium, including Beltre, thought that was strike three.
  14. Appears to be a moot point. Rosario is out for this series and the next according to Bremer. Ready or not, Buxton will almost surely be up tomorrow.
  15. So, according to Bremer, Rosario is out for this series and next. I’d say it is a foregone conclusion that Buxton will be up tomorrow.
  16. I wouldn’t be surprised if Polanco did that on his own trying to get a hit.
