This is what breaks the deal for me with Kepler. Bench, trade or DFA and call up Wallner, nothing else is acceptable. Edit: If these rumors we've been hearing for the last couple of years are true.

For a guy who doesn't want to see anybody lose their jobs, your plan sure involves many getting fired. Firing a staff mid-season is a desperation move. If you were in a upper management meeting and suggested this for a team in first place, you might find yourself heading to human resources, lol. The time for a major change of course is in the off-season. Constant clamoring for people's heads during the season, especially a team in the Twins position, is just hystrionics.

This is why the are similar stories to this one for every team. The system is set up in a way that results in just this exact thing happening over and over. But we can all gripe, lol. My gripes are Anderson. They never gave him a chance. Maybe they didn't trust him because of his turbulent past, but then why sign him in the first place? And especially Tyler Wells. I watched him coming up and was very excited about him. C'mon man.

When you consider Lewis and his 2 consecutive ACL surgeries, he may be fully healthy and strong for the remainder of his career. The surgeon was quoted as saying you could keep having that surgery over and over as long as the attachment point of the ligament was intact. There may be no other damage in his knee meaning it is fully healthy. Unfortunately, even with modern technology, there is no real fix for damaged knee cartilage. If there was, there are many ageing, super wealthy athletes that would have extended their careers with it. Kinda like how Ted Danson still has a big bald spot, lol. If there was a cure... When you hear that a knee is being scoped, that is cleaning up damaged cartilage. This can be a chronic condition and may be where Byron is at, sadly.

I agree with this. Everyone is clamouring for something to be done about our low end starting right fielder. If Kepler looks in the mirror and admits he is a low end starter at his position, maybe he would realize he could be a good strong side platoon center fielder. His bat would actually be good in that role and he wouldn't have to be so miserable about the damn thing.

When someone is going well let's ride that as long as possible. No scholarships. Louie V is looking better and better. Do not sent the young man down. When Maeda forces your hand, get creative this time. He can be a versatile asset out of the pen. Use that and grant some of his incentives to keep him happy and make you look good to the players.

I also want Wallner up and didn't want him sent down in the first place. It was reported Garlick is up because we are slated to face multiple leftys.

This is the point where, again, someone has to point out Bailey Ober's injury history and amount of innings he's pitched each year in his career and that maybe you might want these kind of performances from him late in the season and the playoffs etc blah blah blah

True, but Kirilloff has somewhat quietly been taking the most consistently productive at bats. A nice pair to add mid-season no doubt. Kirilloff doesn't maybe have the charisma, but man he looks steely and confident at the plate. The opponents don't seem to know how to pitch to him.

I'm a little surprised ESPN has us this heavily favored in this matchup. It is the same margine the Astros had over us when Louie pitched in front of that surprisingly successful lineup

If it's not going to be Glen, I would prefer Marlon Perkins on the booth. Imagine the color provided.

Lopez got dinked and dunked tonight, but it would be nice to see him go on a run. AK and Lewis are a nice lil pre-deadline addition.

Edouard Julien Has a Blueprint to Work On
wabene replied to Ted Schwerzler 's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
There is a lot to like with Julien in his first taste of the bigs. It appears many of his issues could be helped by getting more comfortable. The talent and drive are there, just settle down a little. -
Oh so you want to keep this pace. That must mean your on board with him being pulled after 7 😉
