  1. Sorry. Meant Keibert Ruiz
  2. Seems like a guy like C Ruiz would be a happy medium on the 3rd guy
  3. I agree that Calhoun isn't good but as a 4th piece he adds some upside there and has a strong chance to be a utility player at the next level
  4. I want no part of Stewart. If Stewart is the 2nd piece, then Lux better be the 3rd and Calhoun the 4th. I'd consider it then
  5. You don't make a trade just to make a trade. There has to be a willing party. If you just get offers for AAAA guys, it just doesn't make sense.
  6. My problem with Stewart is that he's already 25 and near the top of his potential. It would be the ultimate by high. He's a 4 or maybe 5. High floor low ceiling guy. Sure as a 3rd piece he's fine but it shouldn't be centered around him and another 24 year old prospect with a bum shoulder.
  7. Yep. If what dodger posters are saying is true, it's an absolute joke what they are offering. The old staff would have been conned IMHO
  8. Dodgers are just going to have to deal with the fact that they have to give up something (prospects) if they want to make a move. If they don't want to make a move then so be it. If Alvarez is off the table then Lux is probably a 3rd piece and someone like Calhoun is likely a 4th piece. De Leon and Stewart is not going to get it done. To be honest I'm not sure why we would want a guy like Stewart. Seems like we have a ton of guys just like him already in our system. De Leon is nice but he hasn't been able to make the jump, already 24, and has had shoulder issues. We aren't taking scraps for a 40 homer guy in majors. That's insulting. If you aren't trying to trade for him, that's fine with me. If you are, let's at least make this fair
  9. Lol okay. You aren't getting dozier for scraps. If that's truly the case, then I can't see a deal getting done. So be it
  10. No offense dodger fans but it's a minimum those two are included. Prospects are prospects. De Leon has a lot of question marks. Alvarez has more chance of fizzling out than being an ace at this point. You don't trade for a 40 home run guy with 2 years at friendly contract for AAAA players. Those two are a minimum. I think they should get a decent 3rd guy as well so I'm glad we're holding out.
  11. Maybe they were only hoping to get cash from the rule 5 pick and the guys they have coming back for dozier will be on the 40 man so no harm lost if they lose whoever they took in the draft
  12. I'd rather have kept Stuart turner then get this guy
  13. I get the move but I probably would have tried to hold onto him one more year with the type of heat he has. Still only 22 and would be 23 in AA with that heat and there is reason for hope. I probably would have let go Booshers but that's hard too because he's a lefty and provides major league depth. Hopefully we can bring him back on minor league deal, but either way, it's doubtful it comes back to haunt us
  14. I can't believe how much higher wade is than arruiz(sp?) and vielma. Have those two on top of wade
  15. Should have clarified. Go for top 3 guy and get whatever one you are most comfortable with but agree ahead of time to get him to go under slot. In the 2nd round is when you go over slot and pick up the top 15 guy
  16. Drafting a catcher first overall is like drafting a fullback first overall in the NFL. Just silly. Go for the ACE. Especially with how our pitching has been. Go under slot and hopefully a top 15 guy that's hard to sign falls to our 2nd round pick
  17. I like him but I don't think nick Gordon is our best prospect.
  18. With Nick Gordon being there I will be assure to attend. I was first to note Buxtons strikeout woes a couple years ago in AFL and will hopefully have good news to report on Gordon. Look for the updates. I'll try to get some video as well
  19. Unrelated but it amazes me how much depth we have now. I was re-reading the prospect handbook and saw seths top 30. I realize hindsight is 20-20 but some of those lists a few years back were downright ugly. Those that made the top 5 probably wouldn't be top 10 or top 15 now
  20. Lol no kidding. Can't win around here. Seems like the moves I like, are hated around these parts. And the moves I don't like are usually considered good moves by the general consensus here.
  21. Kiriloff with homer
  22. Everyone knows that everyone is placed on waivers. Good lord, every time someone talks about it people say this. It is still interesting and I wish it wasn't private so you could see who gets claimed (blocked or potential trade). It's also interesting because once placed and cleared, they can be traded
