  1. Magic Number Update - Division: 60 Wild Card: 64
  2. Even I didn't take it that far...but I'm ok with that too!
  3. Motter makes little sense to this guy... IMO this needs to be a RH hitter that can play 1B/OF/DH My list of hopefuls would be: Wiel Rooker Austin Happy with any of those three...would like a look at Wiel as a R5 eligible this winter Rooker options be damned let's see what he can do Austin will most likely be the guy Anyone else and I'll once again be scratching my head over the FO moves
  4. Magic Number Update: Division: 62 Wild Card: 65 Twins Record 52-58 9GB
  5. Remember...Austin was acquired for Lance Lynn any return at the Major League level is a plus Lynn was not a terrible acquisition...things just didn't go as planned and he was flipped...if Austin contributes in 7 wins the rest of the year it's a success
  6. Would you trade Gibson to SF for C Joey Bart #36 mlb.com prospect?
  7. I'm not concerned with 40-man spot as long as the Twins continue to keep the WonderKid (as in everyone wonders why he's still on the 25-man) in the bullpen the younger arms you mention should be safe from DFA-land
  8. I don't think he blocks Rooker at all...if anything he provides RH balance at DH
  9. In the interest of satisfying the QO proponents would you accept C Mario Feliciano back from the Brew Crew straight up for the Doze? He was 2016 CBB pick #75
  10. Interested in seeing what the Yankme's got back from Seattle for Adam Warren https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2018/07/mariners-to-acquire-adam-warren.html
  11. Wasn't De Jong mentioned in the Dozier to Dodgers deal from 2 winters ago?
  12. With this news maybe the 'Stros come calling on the Doze...it's a thought
  13. If SF is interested in Dozier it's another chance to bundle up Dozier and Gibson to the other side of the Bay for: C Joey Bart P Sean Hjelle (most likely too much but he's one of us) P Ray Black
  14. IMO - Pressly going to a team that values the Duece like no other team will be great for him and his spin-rate/swing&miss are awesome this season he has always looked a little too nervous in close/late situations for me I guess if Charlie Morton can go from spot-starter/#4-5/long reliever to World Series stopper, Pressly should thrive I wish him the best in the playoffs with the Astros...I will be interested in seeing where they use him Thinking while writing this maybe we'd have been better off trading Pressly for Brent Strom
  15. A couple unexpected suitors for the Doze https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2018/07/indians-giants-showing-interest-in-brian-dozier.html Judging by the returns for Escobar and Pressly I'll suggest from the Giants: Either/Iether/both Blake Rivera #23 MLB Pipeline Camilo Doval #21 MLB Pipeline As for the other team...well...let's just say I hope that doesn't happen EDIT: might consider the Taiwanese Yu-Tang-Clan dude
  16. Win-Win situation with Gibson (depending on trade return) Keep hime because he's the New Gibby and pair him with Berrios for another year Trade him for AA-AAA talent that could replace those who leave (via trade or Free Agency this Fall) Great minds and all that...I posted this a couple days ago Gibson and the Doze to the A's for C- Sean Murphy P- Logan Shore/Hogan Harris and a Parker Dunshee to be named later (poor spin on the Duensing bit)
  17. So anyone want to speculate how valuable spin rate is? How high on the prospect list does it have to be to satisfy the Belisle Bomb he just gave up?
  18. My apologies for being creative with the an adjective that I made up and included Realmuto in it I will be more direct from now on
  19. the more prospects (depth) the better chance more of them will pan out and become usable pieces to allow trading top tier guys or themselves I have no earthly way of predicting or knowing if a 19 year old short fast CF will turn into an All-Star Gold-Glover...but if there are 3 like that the chances are better one of them will be worth something in the future Who know's...maybe Jhoan is Jeter's favorite 3rd cousin and he's the piece that lands Realmoto...or the next piece the Twins need simple post...having more possible prospects increases the chance one of them turn out to be decent/good/great
  20. Point being the more prospects the better chance of hitting on more than if you have fewer (less depth)
  21. Good thing we have a full songbook worth of $$$ this offseason
