    I like the offense in this plan...concerned on the trade price for Iglesias (btw you have Gordon being part of the trade package and as your fallback at 2B and the same rotation plus Pineda IF the starters progress and offense rakes this could be enough to worry the Indians

    Thanks Ash for clearing the air on Graterol Alcala is another player whose Rule 5 status has been debated Birthday: July 28, 1995 Signed: December 3, 2014 Houston Astros signed free agent RHP Jorge Alcala to a minor league contract. I believe the following earns him another year of Rule 5 freedom: (1) A player without previous Major or Minor League service who signs with a Major League or independent Minor League Club shall be subject to selection based on the following: (A) if 18 years of age or under on the June 5 immediately preceding the player’s signing, the player shall be subject to selection at the fifth Rule 5 Selection Meeting that follows the signing date of the player’s first Major or Minor League contract, unless Rule 5©(1)© applies; ( if 19 years of age or over on the June 5 immediately preceding the player’s signing, the player shall be subject to selection at the fourth Selection Meeting that follows the signing date of the player’s first Major or Minor League contract, unless Rule 5©(1)© applies; also from THE OFFICIAL PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL RULES BOOK.

Starting pitchers take time to develop and need opportunities at the MLB level Some promising things from Stewart: More breaking pitches that were competitive if not always strikes Castellanos AB was encouraging...finished him off with a 4-seamer up in the zone FB was running all over the place...not sure he knows where it's gonna go Velo topped out at what 97...that's encouraging Facing same lineup back-to-back is tough for a veteran pitcher let alone a rookie To me it looked like Stewart/Garver were trying too hard to hit spots...with the movement he has start it down the middle and take your chances...Garver was setting up on the corner or outside the zone (not to mention the Montok AB, watch Garver jump way inside to give the target on a 1-seamer) Lost season and all...give Stewart some run...looks similar to Berrios' first starts

    For a defense first multi-year MLBer, Adrianza is supposed to make life easier for rookies making their debut Inexcusable for him to not get an out...and sorry Tom but to say "...things like that are liable to happen from time-to-time when everybody’s putting the ball in play." is unfair to Stewart Routine groundballs are expected to be turned into outs at the MLB level and I was enjoying crisp innings that didn't involve 3 ball counts on every hitter I suppose we could blame the rest of the Twins starters who have conditioned the fielders to fall asleep in the field with 3 ball counts and endless AB's It was a good start by Stewart, here's hoping he gets another start or 6
