  1. You were studying the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow, weren't you?
  2. Ah yes, the filmstrip days! We may have to explain that one to Vanimal.
  3. That was at Sea-Tac I believe. As long as you aren't flying in or out of there, I'm sure you'll be just fine! I mean, what's the worst that could happen?
  4. That would not be the time for trial and error. I was at an airport a few years ago and the plane at the gate next to us was delayed due to mechanical issues. I was watching a couple of guys working in the wheel well, handing tools back and forth and such. The guy working inside of the wheel well climbed out and looked at the other guy and shrugged his shoulders. I was suddenly very glad that I wasn't flying on that plane.
  5. We could take college courses at the local community college. I don't believe that we had work release. Me being somewhat idiotic, took 3/4 of a school day worth of shop classes my entire senior year. I regretted that decision when I was in college, but when I started to use the things I learned in the shop classes instead of English 101 stuff, I realized the wisdom in what I did.
  6. Oh, I misunderstood your original post, my bad. Wherever he's going, good luck to the both of you.
  7. Interesting that he'd go to an engineering school for that. But hey, you like what you like. If he liked the campus and the program, why not? That's what is important. My aunt has a civil engineering degree from there.
  8. This is me as well. My wife will be in layers around the house and i'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt.
  9. Dumbest reasons for getting detention...Go! Mine would be for kicking an empty 20oz pop bottle down a stairwell and not picking it up. The principal watched me do it. That also has the distinction of being my old stint in detention. My parents weren't even mad, they just laughed at me because we all knew it was stupid. Not stupid that I got detention for it, just stupid.
  10. I was a senior when The Thong Song came out. At a middle school dance, the DJ played The Offspring's Bad Habit without realizing what it was. Good stuff there.
  11. Can't decide if that is better or worse than All-4-One.
  12. We had that too. I liked it quite a bit as well, but I preferred the turkey gravy more.
  13. Heck, I can back you on that! That, or a substitute teacher. They often came hand in hand, but not always.
  14. I didn't see any mentions of school lunch or yoga pants, so I went about my business.
  15. Those were the days. Recess for me now involves taking a lap around the office regardless of weather and only if I have 90 seconds to do so. See, I have no real use for yoga pants!
  16. Are we talking revenue or girth? Likely both, i surmise.
  17. i think poutine would have been one of those things that I'd take an extra initial helping and went back 9 more times and then be sick for the rest of the day. I'd then learn nothing from it and repeat the process every time it was on the menu.
  18. All of this food talk is making me hungry. All of this booze talk is making me thirsty. All of this yoga pants talk makes me want to exercise. Only so many hours in the day.
  19. I'd say whiskey, but I don't really discriminate.
  20. It's pizza on a crust shaped like the hull of a boat! With the extra crust, you got a little extra sauce, toppings, and cheese. My wife said that she had a taco salad type thing in a similar presentation. I'm jealous of that.
