  1. Or the umpire is terrible.
  2. There has to be something wrong with this k-zone. The bottom of the zone seems too low.
  3. Arcia looks like he hasn't had many ABs lately. Probably because he hasn't had many ABs lately.
  4. Slight difference between the way Centeno handles that bunt and how Murphy handles it.
  5. The Kansas City management must be reading this thread. They're bringing in Wang.
  6. Dozier's trying to pull himself out of the lineup. Should have kept the bunt on.
  7. I ended last season and began this season as a big fan of Rosario, and I thought he'd even improve this year. However, he has some real problems at the plate. Maybe he needs some time in AAA to work on plate discipline, and we can see how Kepler does against MLB pitching for a while.
  8. Why would the O's try that stunt with Davis up? Bush league. Or Billy ball. Not smart.
  9. This is supposed to be a . . . happy occasion! Let's not bicker and argue about who killed the Twins.
  10. Duffey looked great yesterday. His fastball topped out at 91, but it seemed a lot faster to me. I'm sure it seemed faster to some of the White Sox hitters who were looking for the curve. Jack Morris loves the guy because of his competitive nature, as well. And I think Jack knows what he's talking about on that topic. Seems like Berrios hasn't pitched in ages. As a fan, I'm looking forward to Berrios and Duffey starts, and would be looking forward to Meyer starts as well. I hope this is a case of it being darkest before the dawn.
  11. Duffey's curve ball looks great today. Big K on Abreu.
  12. I agree with everyone above that he was yanked to early in his first start. And for what? Milone? Did anyone think Milone was going to come in and shut things down for the Twins to stay in the game? At this point, Milone should be on mop-up duty or cut from the team. I have been supportive of Molitor on other topics, but that was poor game management. Molitor is beginning to rack up questionable decisions with the pitching staff. As far as long-term for Alex Meyer, I think it probably is best for him to start in AAA and absolutely dominate for an extended period of time. I hope that happens, and that the Twins don't jerk him around the next time he's earned his opportunity to start in the big leagues. His stuff was nasty, and after two innings I thought he'd be in there through the sixth. I still think he could have gone five if they hadn't pulled him.
  13. Was that the most predictable strikeout of Rosario, ever?
  14. Milone is not an asset as a starter or a reliever. Time to pull the plug.
  15. It's possible that Joe's struggles over the past few seasons have helped him in his approach this year. He has experimented in ways that don't work, and settled in on ways that work for him. If his vision has improved, that obviously helps him make solid contact and lay off bad pitches. I'm sure he was trying to do that the last few years, but it hasn't been easy. I think he's going to stick with his approach and continue to do well, so long as he stays healthy.
  16. Jorge the Polcano!! Hope he erupts this time up.
  17. In 15 AAA starts, Berrios is 8-2, 2.33 ERA, a sub-1 WHIP and 103 strikeouts in 92.2 innings. He's actually gotten better since being promoted to AAA. IMO, he's earned a shot, and he should replace Milone ASAP. As far as drawing fans, I'm convinced that once Berrios comes up, there will be a lot of fan interest in seeing him pitch. I'm pretty sure everyone on this forum would prefer to see him pitch over Milone. And if he comes up and has one good start, there will be a buzz around him all season. Everyone will want to see him pitch -- probably more than any other starter the Twins have. But most importantly, the Twins will likely be better with him instead of Milone.
  18. How about that Sano guy?
