    I am buried at the office but it looks like this will be fun to watch on the DVR tonight. Go Twins!

    We all walk different paths. We cannot know what's going on in Hicks' head or all that he's been through in his life. It seems to me that "hating" a player who is on your favorite team is counterproductive. If Hicks does well then it may be harder for you to enjoy his success. And if Hicks does poorly, there will be no joy in that. I am hoping that this new leg kick combined with a manager who has a different approach will truly help this young man realize his potential. If not, then I will be sad but won't hate him.

    This was a tough loss and by the time I got to a TV it was over. I will stay at the office until midnight tomorrow if necessary for the Twins to win. At least I provided a useful straight line by referring to GSTT. I have managed to read the game thread and it was very fun.

    I don't think that it is possible to measure Molitor's contribution, but my sense is that he may be accountable for some of the current "lucky streak." It's also possible that Torii has made it his mission to persuade younger players that the Twins can win the division. This is pure speculation on my part, but it seems possible that good things are happening in the clubhouse that are not being reported.

    Angels are ridding themselves of Hamilton. I wonder how much cash the Angels will end up paying and how Hamilton might repay the Angels when they play the Rangers.

    Moderator note - let's remember that debate can turn into squabbling when it becomes too personal. I think that it would be a good time to drop the LaRoche debate or at least make a greater effort to acknowledge that both sides have valid positions.
