I agree with both of you, but think that Revere would be a disaster in right field due to his weak arm. I think that the best solution would be to play Revere in center and move Span to right. But, apparently, Gardy does not want to hurt Span's feelings.

I agree with those who say that our bench is terrible, and who don't mourn the loss of Borroughs. On the other hand, there don't seem to be a lot of options in Rochester who are ready to step up. The good news -- being in last place might result in a shot at a decent player being released by another team. -
This may sound crazy, but I would like to see if Revere could learn to play shortstop. He seems very athletic -- remember the somersault last year on the way to third base. And maybe his arm could work at shortstop. I realize that it might take a year or more to learn a new position, but it seems like he might make a great shortstop.

Plouffe, Borroughs and Parmalee all looked pretty bad at the plate -- not making good swings. And the Angels outfield was playing at little league depth against Carroll.

That was an interesting post, Riverbrian. I am wondering whether Oakland might be a good trade partner. They always seem to have plenty of good pitching coming up through their system. What do you think of Jarrod Parker, who plays for the Sacramento River Cats (AAA affiliate of the A's)?

Angels release Bobby Abreu. Does that do anything for you?

If Abreu provided good leadership in the clubhouse, he might be a good idea. But my sense is that he is not a good clubhouse player. And this seems like a good year to try out young prospects and see who can stick. -
Valencia had a good game today -- 3 for 4 and 2 RBI. Maybe he can build on that.
