  1. Yes, can we PLEASE save the invective for people who are truly misguided, such as White Sox fans?
  2. Today would have been a good day for a torrential thunderstorm in Ohio. What a slaughter.
  3. I sure would like to see the Twins score at least a few runs today. And Plouffe needs to stop striking out so much.
  4. Possibly Gardenhire was trying to preserve the bullpen. Chief, your new avatar is awesome.
  5. I enjoyed the article. It is well reasoned and well written. But I am not drinking the kool-aid if this means not making some wise trades to get good prospects, especially starters.
  6. I think that this probably has something to do with how he struggled as a starter last season, and the fact that right handed batters were lighting him up. Why the F was Willingham trying to steal second?
  7. It would be good to get some early runs here.
  8. In light of his pitching success in high school and his velocity, I wish that they would let him pitch a few games just to see what he can do.
  9. Lots of wins on Friday night. I an especially glad to see Beloit start its second half with a solid win.
  10. It also seems possible that Hendriks runs pretty fast, and he might be used again as a pinch runner.
  11. On those somewhat rare occasions of a fun win, I like to relish the good things. Revere and Doumit hit well, Blackburn kept the Twins in the game and the bullpen was money. There will be plenty of opportunities this season to criticize players after a loss. But when the Twins win such criticism kinda spoils the good feeling that comes from a win.
  12. Welcome, Brock. I look forward to seeing your magic.
  13. Considering the drop in velocity, I would hope that the Twins would arrange for thorough physicals. They have already had their share of TJ surgeries.
  14. I used to get my link fixes from Twinsgeek.com, then life changed.
  15. In light of this analysis, I am hoping that the Twins offer enough to either keep Liriano or get a draft pick if he leaves, I also hope that some of the relievers that they drafted this year can be converted to starters.
  16. I would prefer less interesting.
  17. I am worried about Gray today -- need to get him out.
  18. OK, Denard, ducks on the pond for you.
  19. I don't think so, and he just blew a perfect opportunity.
  20. This is a great article for easily finding good stuff that we may have missed. Thanks for taking the time to put this together.
  21. One run per inning is better than nothing. It will be great if Blackburn can hold the fort for a few more innings.
  22. At least the Twins avoid a shutout. Now we can only pray that Blackburn can last 5 innings.
