  1. Delmon Young seems to play better when it's against the Twins. Revenge factor?
  2. Well said. This is shaping up to be a great day for Mauer. Let's hope that he plays in the nightcap.
  3. Anyone who thinks that the Twins will be decent next year should watch a replay of today's game.
  4. It seems hard to be optimistic about next year with such a weakness in starting pitchers. And it seems to me that the Twins are incompetent in terms of scouting, drafting and developing starting pitchers. Why do so many other teams not have this problem? Look at the Rays, A's, Angels, and Dodgers -- they seem to always be brimming with good pitchers. Why not hire some of their scouts and coaches?
  5. The logo - a baseball bat dressed as corn -- does not seem as cool as the Beloit turtle.
  6. Another view might be that since 2013 is going to be a rebuilding year anyway, it might be better to focus on trading for prospects who are projected to be ready in 2014 and 2015 rather than paying big bucks for someone who is ready before they are needed.
  7. Oh well, at least Plouffe homered.
  8. I prefer a sloppy win to a well-played loss. And I especially like a lopsided win. My ideal game would be beating the White Sox by at least 20 runs, and it would be icing on the cake if the Sox committed a lot of errors. If this could happen in three straight games, then I would be in heaven.
  9. Hendriks appears to be on track for his first win -- let's hope that the bullpen does not blow it for him.
  10. A Plouffe home run would also be nice.
  11. I am totally pulling for Hendriks today to get his first major league win, and for Herrmann to have a great debut.
  12. The Indians probably care, at least a little.
  13. And here we go again with giving away unearned runs.
  14. Is anyone watching this battle to see who has the worst team in the AL?
  15. I would like to see Hendriks get his first win.
  16. Only f the Yankees totally choke, which seems unlikely.
  17. Peavy is looking like a good investment for the White Sox.
  18. At least they broke up the no hitter. At the one game I attended this year, the Twins were hitless.
  19. Oh well, at least it was interesting at the end.
  20. Hammer time? It would be great to tie this one up.
  21. Believe me, I get the message, I bet AJ likely had a hand in sending it, doubt if the Twins FO is receiving it. And now Orlando Hudson scores an insurance run, adding insult to injury.
  22. Are the Sox sending a message by beating the Twins with Liriano and Crain? Is anyone in the Twins' front office listening?
  23. I saw one earlier this year in Anaheim -- not a pretty sight.
