On a positive note, I appreciate these daily recaps. I look forward to reading these each day.

Why the **** is Arcia still playing in the OF? Add hunter to that as well. Also, why aren't we seeing Pinto in a twins uniform? Our defense is horrendous. It wouldn't be a big deal if: we had pitchers who struck out batters, we didn't have guys in Rochester and Chattanooga who could field better, if we were winning games by the offense was making up for the lack of defense. The way the defense is attempting to field balls there's no way the offense could make up the difference on a regular basis.

If they can start the year 2-9 they'll be on pace to equal the same start as the 91 World Series champions

@DocBauer when did you live in Brookings? My dad and his family grew up there. My grandfather owned a construction business.

With the exception if dozier being out, I'm pretty happy/excited about the line up today.

He's a grown **s man! He doesn't need to act like a professional child. He's a professional baseball player, with class.

C if they swap out correia for either May or Meyer or basically any of our aaa guys except pelf.

Down by a run and you strike out looking in the 9th inning?? That can't happen. You have to swing there!

Thank you for the well written article Seth! Both are great stories. I wish the best of luck to Hurlbut and Tomshaw (awesome names btw!).

Cowbell's been awesome, but a strike out looking with one on 2nd is soooo frustrating.

Gardy can't pull a pitcher at the right moment to save his life. He's had a horrid history of proving this true. Unfortunately, in situations like Pelfrey's, it cost them the game. It may also be hurting his chances at recovering fully. In the past Gardy was so locked in at the closer position he wouldn't pull them out until they failed multiple times and lost a few games as a result. That being said, bring up Gibson. If you're scared it's too soon then bring up Walters until DeVries or Deduno are healthy.

Yeah, Escobar should be starting ahead of florimon.
  22. Mauerpower
I would start De Vries, Hendriks, and Deduno over Correia.Correia has had one decent season in the national league. I hope he proves me wrong. I just wouldn't take the risk without seeing what these young guys have first. Aslo, Escobar over Florimon

Is there any way the twins could trade willingham or morneau for dickey? what all would the mets require in that deal?
  24. Mauerpower
When I 1st read the article about trading morneau I was able to view all the comments. Now, however, I can only view one comment even though it said there were 41. I'm using the google chrome browser, a mac osx.
  25. Mauerpower
That was a stupid trade. I would love to have Garza right now.
