  1. Great night to attend a Twins game...except you will have to watch Hughes pitch.
  2. 1st Timer question. I bought my ticket and I'm guessing that you will have my info and I will receive my ticket at the door. Is that how it works?
  3. Just bought my ticket! 1st time. I had to move from Kansas to Minnesota just so I could go the the meltdown!
  4. Just read this interesting article about an insane homer Rosario hit last year and his ability/curse to hit balls way outside the strike zone. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/a-home-run-that-must-be-discussed/
  5. Unless Arcia make changes between now and April he hasn't earned a spot in the lineup or in the outfield. Duffy earned a starting role in the rotation last season. If they don't give it to him that's poor management.
  6. Mauer has the 2nd most doubles, triples, and rbi on the team. This year he's been mother freaking clutch with risp!
  7. Great writing, as usually, Seth! I'm looking forward to these through out the season. This goes a long way in giving one perspective during a long season. Hopefully this one won't be as long as the last few.
  8. On a positive note, I appreciate these daily recaps. I look forward to reading these each day.
  9. Why the **** is Arcia still playing in the OF? Add hunter to that as well. Also, why aren't we seeing Pinto in a twins uniform? Our defense is horrendous. It wouldn't be a big deal if: we had pitchers who struck out batters, we didn't have guys in Rochester and Chattanooga who could field better, if we were winning games by the offense was making up for the lack of defense. The way the defense is attempting to field balls there's no way the offense could make up the difference on a regular basis.
  10. If they can start the year 2-9 they'll be on pace to equal the same start as the 91 World Series champions
  11. @DocBauer when did you live in Brookings? My dad and his family grew up there. My grandfather owned a construction business.
  12. yes, if he doesn't perform by mid-season I agree we should trade him.
  13. In Liriano's preseason debut he threw just over half (52%) of his pitches for strikes. What we need to see from Liriano is his ability to consistently throw under control. He's a wild card with a huge upside, as well as a huge downside. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Even in Liriano's no-hitter last season he showed signs of his split personality pitching. We all know and have seen what Liriano is capable of when he controls his pitches on a consistent basis. The Twins desperately need Liriano to pitch to his good potential. I honestly believe that this is exactly what will happen this season. We will be able to say good bye to Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and embrace the consistent lefty ace he's capable of being. Today, he showed he's on track. I know it's just preseason, but this is what the preseason is for. Carry on my wayword son.
