  1. Or he would do a drive by with the T-shirt cannon.
  2. You are 100% correct on this sb. If a player doesn't sign, his money is removed from the bonus pool and can't be used anywhere else.
  3. Not just 2 for 3, but 2 for 3 with 2 doubles. If he keeps that up, he'll win that that opening day CF job.
  4. I brought a radio to work so I could listen to the games.
  5. Sounds like Hendriks has done alright this game. 3 shutout innings, only giving up 3 singles.
  6. That one could be a lot of fun to watch, or listen to for that matter.
  7. The only reason he's in big league camp is so he can get ready for the WBC. He's going to be an outfielder for that though. But, might as well play him at 2B and check out how he's coming along while he's in camp. As soon as the WBC is over, he'll go back to minor league camp and continue to work at 2B.
  8. Game ends on a grounder to Eddie Rosario. Twins win 8-4!
  9. Benson strikes out again... (The hat trick). Rosario gets a line drive single! They end up leaving 2 on in the top of the 9th. Still up 8-4.
  10. Tonkin gets a 1-2-3 8th. The last out was a hit deep to center though. Almost to the wall. But hey, an out is an out.
  11. Michael Tonkin making his Grapefruit league debut.
  12. Robertson Pitching in the bottom of the 7th. Twins up 8-3. LaRoche hits a solo shot. 8-4. Three pitch strike out, followed by a single then a 6-4-3 DP (Santana to Rosario to Clement). Sorry I don't have all the batters names.
  13. I like the Dan Gladden quote: "Bush trying to make the club as a non-roster invitee. He's not doing himself any favors by giving up a home run to a guy wearing number 97."
  14. Joe Benson walks and Eddie Rosario blasts a homer over the RF fence!
  15. Now let's see which team's minor leaguers are better.
  16. Morneau had a RBI double and he scored later. I missed how he scored though.
  17. Not a problem. I'm listening to the radio now. Morneau and Plouffe are both having a good day at the plate. Two hits for Justin and two walks for Trevor. I'll take that all season long... as long as there are some long balls mixed in there too.
  18. Oh man, I go to a meeting for a half an hour and the Twins score two runs and no update on thread.
  19. I'm really hoping he wins the job out of ST. It would allow Hicks to get some at bats in AAA and show he's ready. If he's the starter or the 4th OF, either way, I think it's a big win for the team overall. I'm rooting for him for sure.
  20. I finally brought a radio into work so I can actually start listening to the day games. I can't wait to hear about this outfield making some great catches.
  21. Doumit it definitely the metal head. His walk up music is "Mother". A little tame by some metal standards, but still a classic. Fun post though.
  22. What about group C: "The playoffs are random and the Twins FO are idiots"? I wouldn't put myself in that group, but it's a logical group C.
  23. I played in a city league(not even traveling level, but I never tried out for traveling). LH. I did some pitching, OF and eventually played a pretty mean 1B. The glove was good, but my hitting was sporadic. Some season I hit like a machine and others just ok. I had some base stealing speed as well. But, overall, I was somewhere in the middle of the pack for the league. If I had played some tougher competition, I probably would not have fared that great. My last season was at the age of 15. When I was 16, I could either play again or go spend a month in Germany (where I was old enough to buy beer) and be practically unsupervised. Germany won that battle and my baseball career was over. As much as I love the game, I still think I made the right decision.
  24. You're correct, John. I was looking for a picture. I guess we'll have to wait to see this.
