  1. Technically this IS the winter Olympics because it's in the southern hemisphere
  2. Listening to the Olympic announcers gives me a greater appreciation for Dick and Bert...
  3. I'll watch for that. I was only looking at end results
  4. This is a good example of how firmly Antony is in the clueless Terry Ryan camp and shouldn't even be considered.
  5. Well then it's obvious, he doesn't need a hitting coach. He needs a warning track coach.
  6. What do you think the twins record would be if the started the Season with this current roster?? Are they only crushing it now because of the complete lack of pressure, or is there something completely different going on? Mollie figuring out how to manage the youth? (doubt it) Kepler single handedly putting the team on his shoulders? 2 months of the best offense seems like it's becoming a large SSS.
  7. "Need" lol You think other teams would take a flyer on those guys??
  8. Will Polanco finally play or is Escobar back healthy.?? . I really want to see what this kid can do.
  9. What's the draft look like this upcoming year? Barring a knockout #1or #2 pick I don't care if we win or lose, I just want to see positive development of the young players and would sacrifice Jim Pohlad's first born to not have Kepler have the crushing sophomore slump that is so prevalent in this organization
  10. I know we haven't been exactly stellar for a while but it always seems like our offense completely disappear after the break.
  11. At the game along the right field line and I got to see Kepler make a routine catch. The fanboy is strong on this one...
  12. I'm so bothered by the fact that my mental feeling of the twins is turning happier because of a few good games despite still being cave dwellers in the standings. I want to be mad with where we are at yet it fun to see the young guys starting to flex. Are they making Kepler jerseys yet?
  13. " Donald Trump says he can control the country but he also said that he could control his hair, so I’m still a little skeptical. According to medical professionals… the stress of being the President will take ten years off your life. This is why Trump has received enough votes to be the Republican nominee." That was wonderful.
  14. Those are all teams that need third basemen I think we'd all prefer to trade Plouffe before Nunez. I wonder if any teams would be interested in a package deal? We'll give ya Nunez but you have to take Plouffe as well.
  15. Buxton was an elite defender before he was drafted. Sano feels like he is an elite hitter despite the twins and Kepler does feel like a successfully trained and molded player.... I'm so conflicted!!! Lol
  16. All the vitriol in this thread is a proxy argument over the complete lack any kind of player development plan by TR over the last 3 years. We've had rookies and veterans alike have great seasons either unsupported by past performances or advanced metrics. And TR has been like a child with a shiny toy pla ed in front of him
  17. Gleeman had a really good conversation about this and the options the twins had available. I liked the line "Arcia plays defense like he's holding two frying pans". He also went on to say that defense doesn't matter at this point in the twins season. With Sano on the DL the twins have 2 players on the 25 man roster under 25 and only 4? Under 27. We are not a young team like the FO tries to Bill us as and we just put a 25 year old possible 30 HR guy on waivers. Yeah he sucks against lefties and literally the only thing he brings to the team is occasional power but in 1000 games he's has a career Ops around .740. That's better than all but two twins this season And fun fact, out of like 285 eligible players over the last two seasons Danny Santana is 280th or worse in every single offensive category and we gave him significantly more ABs than arcia who played once a week. This team has 0 vision for effective player development.
  18. Another benefit of being terrible is that the Common Man on kfan has plenty of funny talking points if you are the type of person that would rather laugh than cry . Biblicaly bad gg
  19. "The tassel starts on the right side and is turned to the left. This makes them Democrats until they discover that they like guns." Hah! That makes me a gun-toting liberal weeny!
  20. I'm dying to see this kid succeed. Here's hoping for a hot start.
