  1. Does anyone else watch the opposing teams streams on reddit? Its fascinating listening to outside views. They just said "boy does buxton look good" The blue jays guys are very fair. + and - for both teams. edit: They really like Joe Mauer. Apparently there are 16 active players with a BA over .300. Joe is 7th.
  2. Good stuff, I haven't seen Slegers name come up at all for a call up or even a roster spot next season. What are the chances he can contribute next year?
  3. You are just conflicted about your feelings for Big Sexy. It's OK, he loves us all.
  4. Any team in baseball can beat another on any given night. Even a couple average pitchers could squeak this team into the playoffs. No guarantees we are this close next year.
  5. 10 yards a second is insane... Wow!
  6. I gotta say he wasn't on my radar as trade bait. The upside is still there and we have the depth for it. I'd swap him for an above average reliever with some control left on his contract.
  7. Body slamming a reporter. It probably wont affect his stock much.
  8. yeah, that article was great. It got me super stoked on this Rooker guy!
  9. 4. The Twins have no intention of using their whole $14M draft budget. They saved money to save money. This just seems crazy. It would be a complete betrayal. Complete and utter.. I seriously hope it doesn't go that way.
  10. Is Falvine going to be far more aggressive with pushing pitchers through the minors then?
  11. This kid seems like he has a great attitude though. I can definitely get behind a potential charismatic locker room leader next to Sano in a couple years. I've got high hopes he'll be fun to watch and he's got a great smile for TV. Get some interviews Audra!
  12. I've got an hour left to root for Greene. Optimism holding strong!! (cause why not lol)
  13. He might be good at stealing bases but he can't pull off that hair with that beard. Gotta pick one. Edit: Gamel cane sorta pull it off.
  14. Hah! Dick and Bert were eight on about lefties mashing Santiago! But then a quick K! 5 innings 3 er. Gogo
  15. I'd still try and sign Greene under the slot limit and leverage the fact no prep pitcher has ever been taken first over all. You gotta go for the upside. I want to see the twins swing for the fences on this draft. The old regime was too conservative and I don't want to fall back into that trap.
  16. The majority of relievers have a shortish window. Maybe his just closed. If it's so easy to diagnose, than you bet the MLB staff has noticed it which points me in the direction that he can't execute his pitches well enough.
  17. I'd still draft Greene as a SS. He is still a phenom fielding talent and with that cannon, he'd certainly make it at SS. There is NO WAY he doesn't blow out his arm at some point and the success rate of high end prep pitchers is appalling. Whats Falvine's track record on drafting 1st round pitchers? None of the first round pitchers for Texas or Cleveland from the last couple years jumped out at me.
  18. Picking a prep pitcher in the first round feels like the browns drafting a quarterback. I could get on board with this Wright guy.
