  1. Sorry about the lineups ... totally blew it off.
  2. Heh ... a friend of mine actually suggested I use real leaves and decoupage them on. I might be interested in trying fun craft projects from time to time .... but no way was I going to decoupage real leaves onto my walls.
  3. Well ... it's sort of earthy ... (not in the way I'm sure you were meaning) ... lol ... the top photo is upside down ... and the 2nd photo is sideways
  4. heh ... now that brings back a memory ...
  5. I'm not sure how you think that *I* could splatter the walls. I'm not exactly equipped to do that.
  6. And yay for a double digit score! (Ours, not theirs.)
  7. Sheesh ... I should know better than to try and insert a bit of culture into the conversation with you lot!
  8. That would be an okay one for me to miss. I was listening ... I was pretending to be an artist and doing some 'decorative painting' in the bathroom ... but couldn't watch.
  9. What'd I miss? Anything good?
  10. Yeah ... I'm usually fine in my condo ... just have to make sure nothing is 'loose' on my balcony or it won't be there in the morning. Is still windy today, too. But nice. Was out on my pool deck ... then too many screaming children arrived with their parents in tow and I lost my serenity so came indoors.
  11. Game-time forecast: Partly cloudy with a 30-percent chance of rain. Winds blowing out to center field at 10-15 m.p.h. Temperature around 60. ROYALS: SP, Shields Cain CF Hosmer 1B Butler DH Gordon LF Perez C Ibanez RF Infante 2B Moustakas 3B Escobar SS TWINS: SP, Nolasco Nunez SS Mauer 1B Parmelee LF Morales DH Plouffe 3B Arcia RF Suzuki C Escobar 2B Fuld CF -------------------------- Okay, Bri ... your turn ... am in a rush or I'd say something witty for you ... -------------------------- Head Rush? Sugar Rush? Caffeine Rush? Traffic Rush? Tom Sawyer Rush? Things to Think About: 1. The World Cup -- Yeah... The World Cup... The folks are interested in the United States of America. The Game against Germany had 25.1 Million Viewers. That's More Viewers than any of the World Series Games... NBA Finals or Stanley Cup Finals. Only The Super Bowl had more viewers... So Yeah... The World Cup. We Lost today and we lost to the better team but we came extremely close to winning it at the end of extra time. Tim Howard was brilliant but it wasn't enough. So Now I have to adopt another team to finish this thing up and I will. I'm thinking Belgium because then we can say we lost to the eventual champs. 2. Baseball -- Yeah... Baseball... Folks are interested in Baseball in the state of Minnesota. Last nights game against Kansas City had 396 Viewers... That's more viewers than the total number of people who watched Ishtar... Or Adam Richman smear food all over his face. Or the Collegiate Cross Country Championships. So Yeah... Baseball. We lost last night but we really didn't come close at all to winning it in 9 innings. Chris Parmelee was brilliant at the plate but it wasn't enough... So Now I have to adopt another team to finish this thing up... I'm thinking Belgium because I'm hungry and a waffle sounds pretty good. 3. James Shields -- 32 Years old from Newhall California. I believe the city of Newhall is located in a canyon and because of that... James's voice will echo naturally... Therefore he rarely speaks because people are unnerved by this. He was drafted in the 16th round by Tampa Bay in the 2000 draft. Early in his minor league career he suffered a serious shoulder injury and I just want to say that "Suffered a Serious Shoulder" is easier to type than it is to say... I'll pause why you all say "Suffered a Serious Shoulder" 10 Times fast... (Pause)..................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................See what I mean... It's tough to say. The injury cost him velocity but it also forced him to change his approach to pitching and that change was a change and that change has paid off. He gets by... quite well with a fastball/change combo and he locates both pitches very well while keeping hitters off balance. 4. Brian Dozier -- Brian is taking the night off and I think that's good... We are a little healthier now and I think it would be wise to rotate a few players to the bench for a game. Someone else can take a day off tomorrow. This offense is starting to atrophy from inactivity and it's getting kinda hard to watch. Brian Dozier is 10 for his last 50. Willingham is 5 for his last 36... He could use some more time off. Kendrys Morales is 8 for his last 54... Even Kendrys could be planted on the bench for a game. Escobar is 6 for his last 36... He isn't as much fun when he does that and Fuld is 7 for his last 37. Oswaldo Arcia is a terrible 5 for his last 38... But 5 for 38 is pretty good after going 0 for 227. Parmelee, Mauer and Suzuki are the only players that have a pulse right now. 5. Being Hated -- I was talking to an old classmate at the reunion. He said that he almost didn't come to the reunion because "Everybody Hated him in High School" I told him "That was ridiculous... Not everybody knew you."
  12. Surprised you footballers aren't providing more World Cup dialog. This is for you nonetheless: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NVhoeR9n6lU
  13. tornado warning ... now it's getting fun ...
  14. This is an interesting read on the matter: http://researchnews.osu.edu/archive/urbcoyot.htm
  15. Heh. Real coyotes. We get notices all the time about not walking small dogs in the early morning hours. Yes, and I live in the city, downtown, overlooking Soldier Field.
  16. And so, he gets his shot in a couple weeks instead of RIGHT NOW ... how really does that matter? I really fail to see in any of your arguments how this really truly makes a difference over all to the club, to winning or not this year, to May's development, to our future. All I hear is a few people wanting it NOW because they want it NOW because it needs to be and should be NOW. For what? An extra start or two for someone who projects to be great and a long term part of the team? I really fail to see any difference in NOW than in a couple weeks from now. If a month goes by and we are nearing the end of July? Then maybe I will share in some of your extreme angst, but for now, I just really don't understand the impatience beyond perhaps maybe you and a few others, having nothing else to hope for with this team or how it's run. May will be up with the team sooner or later ... and to me that means perhaps after the all-star break. If before? Great! If not til then? Great! If long after that? I'll change my stance.
  17. I'm tired but I'm still gonna get up and go work out and play tennis.

  18. I like your guess. I've been making comments about keeping Polanco just a bit longer, and this accomplishes that very well. This is what I want to have happen. Whether or not it will ...
  19. I love the concept and the mixture of questions that make it as much human interest as anything else. Heh ... and let me know if you need help with the iPad ... if I'm around at the same time.
  20. What are you doing to me?!?!?
  21. I never tire of watching highlights like this one.
