End of 8, Twins up 3-0

Speedy Plouffe with an infield hit!
  3. Squirrel
I wasn't really watching at that point because I'm rearranging my kitchen a bit so was only half listening.
  4. Squirrel
I can't like this statement because I hate it. The truth hurts.

Gotta remember ... fast touch typist here And, at least through ST, gotta follow up the athletic Sano comments with DGD. I hesitate keeping up that routine through the season or I may be liable to pay for any of DG's alcohol rehab.

Wow ... Gibby looking sharp! Good to see!

Athletic SANO!!!! DiscGolfer drinks! And all the exclamation points are for a running catch he made, not for a home run.
  8. Squirrel
    Nice play, Park!!
  9. Squirrel
And a DP to end the inning, but the Twins drew first blood. After 4, Twins up 2-0.
  10. Squirrel
    And ... 2nd time through the order ... 2 on for Plouffe ... 2-run single ...
  11. Squirrel
Okay ... now ... get the bats going, guys! Help Gibby out.
  12. Squirrel
And a triple-K to end the top of the 4th ... nice ... Gibby in his groove.
  13. Squirrel
And top half first ends ... after that first up single, play was followed with a swinging K, a fly out to left, and foul tip K to end.
  14. Squirrel
And ... first batter up, gets a hit ... one on, no outs ...

Of all the things to question the FO about, this isn't one of them. While we don't always agree with their actions, and not everyone is happy about decisions made ... players and TD posters alike ... I don't see the FO acting with such intentional dishonor.
  16. Squirrel
Because it was a worthy use of it!

Two games ago Arcia hit two homeruns. Yesterday both Plouffe and Suzuki hit two homeruns. So, is third time a charm? Will three go twice yard? WATCH and find out! Yes, a televised game. Woohoo! Each day is one day closer to opening day and regular season play. I'm still hopeful of the possibilities ... so let me enjoy this with no naysaying of the probabilities. You just never know how things will break, who will break out, who will regress, who will get hurt ... this is the phase of the season where anything is possible and I ride that high into the season. So, enjoy your day and enjoy the game! PIRATES: Richardson CF Rodriguez SS Joyce RF Goebbert 1B Ortiz LF Stewart C Figueroa 3B Florimon 2B Lobstein P (Lobstein P) TWINS: Dozier 2B Mauer DH Sano RF Plouffe 3B Park 1B Rosario LF Escobar SS Suzuki C Buxton CF Gibson P Game-time forecast: 85 deg, partly cloudy, low chance of rain (like, almost zero), winds from the SSW at 9mph. Umpires: HP - Hudson, 1B - Kellogg, 2B - Holbrook, 3B - Timmons Go Twins! MODERATOR NOTE: If anyone wants to jump in and start a game thread during ST, do it! There isn't much time left. It'll be good practice for when you SIGN UP to do a thread during regular season play. (See this thread for information and available dates, then PM Chief.)

I rarely have two tabs open for TD. Whatever is going on pretty much makes the Firefox/TD combo unusable for me. I do okay in Chrome ... but even then can sometimes be a problem.

Um, Cuddyer was born 1967???? And drafted out of hs in 1997? A 30-yr old high school draftee? Heh.

Two of my favorite songs of all time ... 'Over the Rainbow' and 'La Vie en Rose' ... I think are timeless songs. And I love the various covers and interpretations of them. I don't mind covers as long as whoever does the cover does it 'their way.' While the song might not be original, the performance can be.
  21. Squirrel
See if any of these are disappointing to you ... http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2015/05/50-cover-songs-better-than-the-originals.html?p=3
  22. Squirrel
Some covers are better than the originals ...
  23. Squirrel
What, you didn't know that was a cover?
  24. Squirrel
I think I'd have to put 'Twist and Shout' by the Beatles in my top 5 covers. But those are good.
  25. Squirrel
I went back and linked mine for you. While you may have heard of these songs, maybe not all the versions I listen to. (although I would expect 'Imagine' and 'Bohemian Rhapsody' are no brainers)
