    I'll tell you how we do it ... we arrive HOURS before rehearsals and concerts, do sound checks. We have practice areas in our hotels so we can warm up before even heading to the concert hall. We have coach buses ... several of them ... so we can spread out and relax. Our hotels are 5-star hotels with great amenities. We don't arrive and go straight from airport to concert hall. Ever.

    I still think it's a big ask ... just off the plane, okay, go pitch for your new team ... don't know the players or coaches, but go to it.

    Oh, hogwash ... the guy just got off a plane from the west coast, to a new team, knows no one, and gets put on the mound to pitch? Come on ... we didn't put Romo in last Sunday and many even said at the time that would not be a good idea. I'll give the guy a bit of leeway here.

    Eh ... I'll give him a couple to settle in before I'm shaken. I think asking him to pitch as soon as he got off the plane was a big ask.

    Yeah ... that's just ... I don't think that was good management.

    That garbage is at the base of a garbage/recycling container that is NOT full. Yeah. And that's what happens at this thing ... just toss and walk. At the end of the weekend, the refuse is unbelievable.

    Plenty of those around, too ... the crowd gets younger and younger, and both young men and women have less and less clothing on.

    I thought I read somewhere that he was going to catch up with the team in Miami. He does have 72 hrs, so maybe he'll join us in MN vs KC.

    Btw, I was PMing spycake about something else yesterday, and while I had his attention asked him about why he didn't respond regarding Brock's request. This was his reply: “Sorry. I meant to respond with a decline. I think my participation here is going to be hit-or-miss very soon.” I don't know what that means, and didn't ask, just hoped it was something good, but less of spycake will be too bad for this site.

    I don’t think the Reds would have been blacklisted. Maybe from ever going to Cleveland again, but I don’t think from all of baseball. But concur on the rest.

    I would have gladly welcomed 4 if we could have really reached a consensus on that. Three will be great, two will be good, only one and we need to keep looking.

    It always seems that way, but we don’t know what GMs were asking us for. When Bauer went to the Reds I thought ‘maybe’, given our FO’s Cleveland connection, given what it took the Reds to get him, and got my hopes up a little. Wish I had been a fly on the wall everywhere. It was a sky high sellers market and the buying just didn’t happen most everywhere. I’m okay with where we are ... it’s not awesome, it’s not horrible, we did more than past regimes have, we’re better than we were, so forward we must go. Here’s hoping for the best ...
