  1. I really don't understand how Kepler's play was not an error, or even possibly two. I guess they didn't rule the missed catch an error because it was 'difficult' to begin with. And I guess that throw wasn't an error because the runner didn't advance, but there was a lot amiss with that.
  2. Only proposed. I don't think the players' union agreed to that one.
  3. This is Buxton's game, this is how he plays, this is why he's the defender he is. If he is anything less than that he's just like everyone else, or maybe less so if all he does out there is 'be careful.' Yeah, it's scary, but for me in a good way; yeah, he's an injury waiting to happen and I don't want to think about the Twins without him. But this is his game and how he plays it. Asking him to play a different game is as bad as asking hitters and pitchers to adjust to styles of play that make them less than they could be.
  4. Yeah. This pretty much. For me I'd like them both, but if it's one or the other, who is most ready Apr. 1. That may not be Berrios. Then whoever it's not, I'd like them up at the first opportunity.
  5. Santana doesn't seem able to make it through a game without some kind of an error or misplay. I wouldn't call that adequate at all. I wouldn't be unhappy (or surprised) if Mejia supplanted Berrios as the 5th starter with Berrios coming up at the first opportunity. We'll have to see how he is after coming off the WBC (when it's over) not pitching to decide. If he's not up to opening day speed, then so be it.
  6. Sounds fun. Too bad I live out of town. But you can look for me in the crowd at the game against the White Sox.
  7. Today I still have the flowers, but the others are all different ... Allstate, Spectrum internet, Nissan, American Red Cross ... interesting as I have not done any 'internetting' on insurance, internet, cars or donations. And, further, I don't use Allstage or Spectrum internet, don't drive a Nissan and never have, nor do I donate to the Red Cross. Oh, and I go to a local flower shop when I want to send flowers.
  8. I agree with every word in this post. In a word ... concur!
  9. I prefer to believe that each of us has secret lives to those around us but not to those who monitor our computers. Uh, wait a minute ... is my microwave turned off?
  10. Makes me wonder what any of us is doing during the day, night, and other. Actually, it doesn't ... I don't wanna know.
  11. I really wonder who is on the other end of these ads. I mean, I'm now getting ads for CA technologies ... I mean ... wth is that? Me getting any kind of technology ads is really funny. Also getting ads for xfinity and 1800flowers. Oh, and there's PayPal at the bottom of the thread. Hmm.
  12. See, that doesn't happen to me but very rarely, and I'm using my iPad when I'm on TD 75% of the time.
  13. Lol ... I never noticed. If I were, I would just chalk it up to my online activity and wouldn't think anything of it as I mostly shop online. Shoe ads come up quite a lot for me ... again, I think it's normal.
  14. Nick mentioned Hughes' start in his Report from the Fort. There was more, but since it's right over there ----> I'll let you check it out.
  15. As if on cue! Thanks! I consider you TD's expert in residence for these types of discussion!
  16. Well, I guess you and I have had different injuries and different recovery/rehab and different doctors monitoring how different motion activities affect us.
  17. Right. Why I'm hoping heazy will jump in with some perspective. Sometimes **** just happens.
  18. Well, of course in due time, but that's not what you said. And all my point was, that even those types of activities will be monitored and could be limited in any kind of post-surgery/rehab phase.
  19. My point is ... repetive motion stress is a consideration in recovery ... as one who is dealing and has dealt with various hand, arm, elbow, shoulder issues, I can attest to how the simplest of activities can exacerbate any issue ... from continued video game play, to smart phone and ipad use, to sitting at a desk all day long, extended computer use, etc. We are all different and our bodies handle any kind of various physical activity, even of the passive kind, differently. It's a matter of being aware of response.
  20. Uh, maybe not if any kind of surgery and/or therapy doesn't involve repetitive motion stress risks.
  21. If I lived there, or close enough, I'd be in on it, too. Especially if I lived an hour or two away. You don't have to worry about weather so much as you can make your decision to make the drive (or not) depending on how the weather looks. And, hopefully, will be able to find a seat somewhere.
  22. I tend to agree. Wonder if Heazy is around and can give us an expert opinion and perspective on this. But I've never seen any kind of correlation in this unless mentally it forced him to do something differently. Difficult to know for sure, so yeah, I do tend to agree.
