    I, too, am an April baby, but earlier ... the 11th. And yes, I do remember snow on my birthday, but no, not this continued stuff you guys are getting. Mostly I remember a lot of nice Spring days, not winter revisited. But one thing I do remember ... getting one of the worst sunburns in my life on my birthday.

    I traveled (by air) from Chicago to see a game the first year the stadium was opened. It was the only rainout they had that year. The game was rescheduled for the next day but, unfortunately, because of my work schedule, I couldn't stay for it. I did, however, get to see and walk around inside the park before I had to leave, thanks to friends with amazing connections. I don't regret the money spent and not seeing the game. I knew the risks. And I'd do it again.

    Not that I think they should have cancelled, because I don't ... but sitting in either stadium in Chicago this time of year with any kind of wind is colder than sitting in Minnesota this time of year. The wind off the lake goes to the bone. It's f-ing cold ... snow or no snow.

    It's not really about feeling sorry for Greinke, imo, but whether or not he tries to avoid it is just not the point, again imo. Quentin charged the mound and by doing so set things in motion physically. There's no way in knowing 'if' Greinke sidesteps him there'd be a different outcome. That doesn't matter as that's not what happened. Quentin was the wrong party here and I hope he pays the consequences but good.

    History or not, words that were said or not, you aren't allowed to charge the mound. Quentin will get the max for that. If Quentin wants to say something was said to him first, then that just becomes a child's game of 'He started it.' It's a stupid defense, imo. You charge the mound, you face the consequences, no matter what the history or verbiage is between them.

    don't. It's hard to know in any given situation when's the time to act. But, coming from you, younger, might be taken with a little more ... 'thought' ... than from one so 'old' like me.

    I'm at a point in my life where I don't put up with this anymore if it's non-stop and truly offensive. If it's truly that bad I don't think it's out of line to respectfully remind them of the kids around. If it continues, get an usher. I've seen ushers 'warn' extreme profanity-users to tone it down. And I saw one person being escorted out (who later returned) for such usage. Of course, that was in Texas, but still.

    And, well, to be fair ... it wasn't only that the others failed, but Hicks did really well in ST. Yeah, I know, it's ST. But he did earn the job as well as the others failing to.

    So, in other words, according to Sinker's article, the teams that do offer some kind of early entrance, you are still paying for the experience to do so. While the Twins PR gaffed big time in how they tried to present their possibility, the fact is that no one team seems to offer this experience for free, if at all. Or are there teams that have earlier gate openings? For free? For all? In order to see the home team take BP?
