    I wouldn't say horrible, I'd say teetering on the verge of disaster every start. But horrible, no. Not at least what has qualified as horrible around here the better part of the last six years

    I know getting into math is verboten in these parts, but the biggest reason IMO hughes hasn't been a disaster is that, in his 8 starts, he left with his team ahead by 1 or 2 runs FIVE times. All this while only pitching more than 6 innings once. The bullpen has been his biggest savior this year. HAD been, anyway. Edit: he pitched into the7th against boston

    On a positive note, LaTroy is halfway decent in the booth

    The twins have scored 42 runs in his 8 starts, but they scored 11 in one of those games. Not an overly huge amount of run support
