  1. I'm sorry the game got outta hand. I'm back now and fully engaged in the Game Thread. Twins will rack up some runs now. Confidence people.
  2. Thank you! I'm on a diet though. Can I get cottage cheese or a protein drink? No carbs.
  3. You should have seen my anxiety wanting to post about Wilk the other day.
  4. By the way, how about that line up tonight? Go Jorge!
  5. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_SbyEJgwuAs/Tf9-avqhcmI/AAAAAAAAL28/dEu0bz-LzHE/s1600/1000.png Good afternoon and welcome to another Twins Daily Game Thread extravaganza! 1,000! This is my 1,000th post on Twins Daily. For over 4 days I've avoided posting anything so I could make my Game Thread introduction post number 1,000. Do you know how hard it was for me not to jump in on the whole Adam Wilk conversation yesterday? I read that entire thread with my fingers twitching. Almost caved and posted an obscene comment but didn't want to get a warning point and lose my 1,000th post on something so obnoxious. When I started following Twins Daily I was just a bystander. Too scared to post or join this great fraternity of Twins fans. So glad I did! 1,000 posts later and its more fun now than ever. Driving between meetings today I got to thinking about my posting milestone. The number 1,000 is a cool number. It seems to encapsulate a lot of things. Consider this: The number 1,000 has a lot of nicknames: K, G "Grand", M, StackIn July of 2013 Auburn's odds of winning the BCS title were 1,000 to 1 at the LVH Hotel in Las Vegas. 14 people actually took that bet. They almost won too. No one has ever had a 1,000 batting average over an entire baseball seasonA bet that is 1,000 to 1 pays $1,000 on a one dollar bet.The current odds of Twins winning the World Series this year is 100:1. It's not 1,000 but thought you would appreciate seeing the current oddsOn May 28th, 2016 the Royals came back and beat the White Sox 8 to 7 after trailing by 7 runs in the 9th inning. They already had one out when they mounted their comeback. Odds of happening? 1,000 to 1.Paul Molitor while playing had a 1 and 5,272 chance of beating Joe DiMaggio's 56 game hitting streak. The odds of Phil Hughes pitching a perfect game tonight is difficult to accurately predict but odds makers will say it falls between 1:18,192 and 1:46,800. Odds that Adam Wilk pitches with the Twins the rest of the 2017 season: 1:1,000Let's go Twins! Phil, overcome those odds! Let's see a perfect game! (can you imagine if he actually pulled it off?) Game Thread intro of the century... Lineups: TWINS: 1. Brian Dozier - 2B ® 2. Robbie Grossman - RF (S) 3. Miguel Sano - 3B ® 4. Jorge Polanco - SS (S) 5. Joe Mauer - 1B (L) 6. 6. Wow! The Miami airport half day hotel rooms seem like a good deal. A true hotel room rented by the hour...

  8. I hope somebody gets fired over this.
  9. This is the sort of thing that happens when you do absolutely nothing during the offseason or spring training to improve your bullpen. I get the occasional blow up but this is a continuing trend. Hopefully the FO and the entire bullpen staff are embarrassed. I'm so glad they canned Tonkin. Can't wait to see the moves made tomorrow or tonight. On a positive note. We have the pieces in place on the offensive/defensive side to be a really good ball club.
  10. On the bright side: At least everyone in Twins Territory can now agree this bullpen blows.
  11. That swing by Rosario was embarrassing...
  12. Barnes is going to leave the Barn door open this inning and the horses are gonna run.
  13. What happened today? Can any elaborate with a short sentence or two? Just trying to get caught up.
  14. Looks like I had a better day fishing than the Twins or their new pitcher. Our boat caught the 4th largest crappie of the tournament! We were holding on to the number 3 spot until the very end.
  15. http://www.rhinoden.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Good-Morning-Vietnam-robin-williams-30953060-2196-2136-610x400.jpg Goooooooooooood morning Twins Daily fans! Hopefully you could hear me through this post. It was my best Robin William's impersonation. Lot's to be excited about this morning: 1. Mauer's walk-off homer last night to beat the Red Sox, wow! 2. The Twins in first place in May, excellent. 3. Getting on a small fishing boat this morning to try and win the annual Ron Schara Minnesota Bound Crappie Tournament on Lake Minnetonka. 4. I will have my 1,000 post on Twins Daily today! As I casually mentioned last night during a Game Thread post, please cheer me on today during the crappie tournament. I will share pictures and any winnings with the Twins Daily Game Thread posters today if I place in the top three. I know everyone will be waiting with baited breath on the results so I will try to keep you updated from the boat. Make sure to also cheer on Mr. Tepesch today. He is making his first start as a Twin today against a very good Red Sox team. Gotta run now and try to catch some big fish. I won't get off the lake until noon or so but will try to post the lineup before game time. Go Twins! Game time weather: Sunny and 63 degrees. Winds light and variable.
  16. Sano does have an arm. I wonder how well he pitches?
  17. It's a great question. Would love to be a fly on the wall when the coaches discuss this.
