  1. Good afternoon and welcome back to the Minnesota Twins baseball Game Thread! After watching the game last night it got me thinking about the direction this team is headed...Still in first place after May 22nd and it looks like we're only getting better. If Ervin and Jose can keep throwing well and Mejia steps it up the season could get very interesting during the late summer months. The youth and energy on this team is fun to watch! I read a few Game Thread posts last night about people still not "believing" in what this team is doing right now. Yes, we have holes to fill but try to sit back and relish what these guys are doing right now. After living through last years disaster I can't wait to get home at night and watch this team play. From an offensive and defensive aspect I think they can get a lot better from here. From a pitching perspective we need another 1 or 2 good starters and more depth in the bullpen. There are rays of hope though even in the pitching ranks: Santana, Berrios, Duffy, etc. Tonight Santana is going up against a good hitting team. It will be fun to watch how the Orioles adapt to his pitches. Another good showing tonight by the Twins and I think you will see them garner a little more national attention. Stay positive Twins fans! Today is a new day (and year). Speaking of the Orioles, here are some interesting facts about that type of bird: A Baltimore Oriole nest looks like a stuffed sock when completed. Weird...Orioles can live up to 12 years in the wild. Longer than the careers of most of the Orioles current lineup.Baltimore Orioles are very sensitive to pesticides. Last night during pre-game warm ups I saw most of the Twins lineup lathering Chlordane (nasty termite pesticide) on their uniforms. Most Orioles will keel over dead when struck by a 90mph baseball or BB gun.Hopefully we get this game in tonight. Rain in the forecast. Go Twins! Lineups: TWINS: 1. Brian Dozier ® 2B 2. Robbie Grossman (S) LF 3. Joe Mauer (L) 1B 4. Miguel Sano ® 3B 5. Max Kepler (L) RF 6. Kennys Vargas (S) DH 7. 2. Imagine having a closer and set up guy like Holland and McGee?
  3. You see, this is the type of post we need more of. It's designed to be reverse psychology. Even if it does make me look like an ass.
  4. I would not have PH Gimenez here. Just saying.
  5. Twins are going to light up this McGee character...I'm in this til the bitter end.
  6. I run around all evening doing errands listening to the Twins on the radio. I get home and the score is 4 to 3 Twins. End up doing some chores, fix the washing machine, let the dog out all the while thinking it will be nice to sit down finally and watch the game and banter with my TD friends....Just turned on the tv and it's now 7-3 Rockies. Listen, if you guys can't do a better job of keeping the score close while I'm not watching we're gonna have to have a little sit down conversation about perseverance, jinxes, etc. And please don't blame the bullpen...
  7. Don't believe everything you read on the internet or see on TV. Especially coming out of Cleveland.
  8. Just getting caught up but it is very telling that Molitor has moved Mauer two nights in a row in the lineup...#5 now #2. Trying to find a place for their best .252 hitter. The exit velocity rocks though.

  10. Amazing how much better the bullpen pitches when they see guys around them getting DFA'd and sent down.
  11. Southern boy doesn't need him around anyhow...
  12. Pressly has just left the building! Throwing like a man possessed. WOW!
  13. She's probably still pondering the Wilks acquisition...
  14. They should cue up some Eagles music. "Take it, to the limit one more time" http://i0.wp.com/sonyamccllough.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/final.png
  15. I actually didn't find those stats on the internet. I made them up by myself.
