  1. http://twinsdaily.com/topic/21812-article-beating-vegas-the-chicago-white-sox/ 14 under votes, 3 over. One of the unders is mine.
  2. Good on Zuke. Take what Latos gives.
  3. Smart of Latos to issue the intentional unintentional walk to Arcia.
  4. Me? Bait you? I resemble the implication!
  5. I'm going out on a limb and saying Leetle Reecky outduels Latos.
  6. I agree wholeheartedly but at least he is good at what he does. Hawk, not so much.
  7. It's a lot like Wayne Gretzky dancing. You'd think it could be good but...not.
  8. Glad to see Audra Martin is on tonight instead of Marney.
  9. Wow, what a downer of a delay. I remember when a similar thing happened in Toronto a few years back.
  10. Latos is pretty inked up. I'm waiting for the time when a pitcher inks his entire arm baseball color. That could be nasty.
  11. Just wanted to chime in that Berardino is the only one reporting this. These transactions have not been posted on mlb.com and LEN III only states that the Pioneer Press report is based on two unnamed sources. So it's still possible that this all may only be a rumor.
  12. Department of redundancy department.
  13. I hope you were able to stop yourself. It's always a shame to waste beer.
  14. We can each temper our own hopefulness or hopelessness on our own. As for me, I'm choosing to be hopeful for a tight pennant race everywhere else in order to boost market value for our veterans.
  15. The more I think about it, the more this looks like the first of several seller-position moves that will be happening between now and July 31. I would not be surprised if Hughes, Nolasco and E. Santana are wearing different unis by then. That gives us a rotation of, in alphabetical order, Berrios, Duffey, Gibson, May, Meyer.
  16. I don't disagree. And I don't think this is the last shake-up of the pitching staff we're going to see. May may yet wind up in the rotation this year.
  17. As has been posted, I don't think it was unreasonable to think Milone could fill a back-of-the-rotation role. He didn't sulk last year when he got sent down and I would be surprised if he didn't keep any ill will about the bullpen move completely to himself. I think Milone's DFA is a combination of wanting to shake up the roster and TR, PM and NA seeing something that makes them think Milone's best days are behind him.
  18. I guess it's not really going to matter this season but I wish we had at least one lefty in the rotation. Taylor Rogers is the closest thing to that currently on the roster. Nothing against him but a trade would probably be required to make that happen.
  19. How about "is a good pitcher".
  20. Or, to be more accurate, Mauer again.
  21. This is not the NFL. This is not the NBA. This is not the NHL. 22-year-olds often perform at a high level in those leagues. 22-year-olds only occasionally perform at a high level in MLB. Torii Hunter didn't become a good major league player until age 25. Perspective, people.
