  1. I'm hardly a Gardy basher, but anyone of even slightly below average speed scores on that double.
  2. Sam Fuld is not Kirby Puckett. Or Torii Hunter. Or Aaron Hicks. Oh well.
  3. Not really. With Morales at 1st, you know nothing short of a HR will score him and you're not getting 3 hits in an inning off this pitcher.
  4. In that situation you have to PR for him. Parmalee isn't really a downgrade anyway. But if you are leaving him in under the premise that it's only the 7th inning, than you don't change your mind 2 minutes later. Ugh.
  5. That inning is on Gardy. Just inexplicable.
  6. So you pinch run Parmalee here, but if you'd done it at 1st he'd have scored there. F'in brilliant Gardy. Really.
  7. It is when Escobar's up and you haven't scored a run off this pitcher in 3456 innings.
  8. Bunt. I know it's Willingham, but PH if you have to.
  9. No Dozier led off with a single. Inexplicably they didn't bunt him into scoring position. Not that it would have mattered.
  10. Just go ahead and walk Cano here, KC.
  11. Ron Gardenhire has never beaten the Yankees in a season series. Gonna go out on a limb and say he never will.
  12. I'd thank him for his time and ask him to politely step down. I'm not sure who should replace him, but someone outside the organization.
  13. And the Yankees just tagged up from 1st to 2nd on Sam 'Pop-Gun' Fuld. Ugh. Who must we sacrifice for a real CF'er?
  14. Did anyone think it was possible for him to be this bad? Nothing in his time time Miami suggested it. I honestly hope there's some undiagnosed injury or something...
  15. We'll probably trade them Pino, Corriea and Willingham for Zealous Wheeler....
  16. Who wants Collabello's ball to go out when you can have that instead?
  17. Think you have to PH Nunez here...
  18. It's possible. But in this case, there naturally wasn't much time (no new batter, etc.) and Dozier made no protest. Hard to blame the manager/video guy when the player who made the play doesn't say boo.
  19. Yeah, I've heard some horror stories.
  20. It wasn't glaringly obvious on the replay. Took Dick'n'Bert 3 re-plays to notice. Dozier has to speak up there.
  21. You don't dig out from 90 losses by trading your best young players for prospects you hope might be as good one day. We are not the Rays. The Rays = the Twins in the Metrodome. We don't need to trade every young player before they get 'expensive' to compete. Trade guys who are pending FA's, sure. But not Dozier, Santana, Hughes, etc. I can see the argument for trading Perkins. But he just signed an extension with a home town discount. They're not trading him right now. I think he may even have gotten a no-trade for at last the first couple years of the deal.
  22. We now know that the literal peak of the season was in 5/22 in San Diego. The figurative one was probably when Gibson pitched the gem in Detroit. It's been all downhill since then, with a speed=bump against the White Sox.
  23. He's not terrible, but his overall #'s are now much closer to advertised. Both he and Dozier are nice players. Neither are All-Stars.
  24. Unless they somehow get back to .500 before 7/31, Willingham and Morales should absolutely be traded. So should Corriea and Burton if they have any value. Suzuki should either be traded or signed to an extension, I strongly prefer trading him. He'll never hit this well again, and Pinto is not nearly as raw as he's being portrayed. As for Plouffe/Duensing, neither is a FA and both have value to the 2015 Twins. Further, neither will bring much in return. I'd keep both, Plouffe for sure.
