    Man we need to hit a grand slam in the draft this year. Enormous holes at center and interior DL. Razor thin depth in the secondary, WR, and RB. Woof.

    The team's record this season will be irrelevant. I'll need a reminder or two throughout the year when we lose in annoying fashion... But I do believe the wins and losses are irrelevant. This season is all about finding foundational blocks to rebuild for a more competitive future. Who's gonna be the first reliever to step up? Can Wallner, Lewis, and Lee finally establish themselves as reliable every day players?

    That bullpen is horrifying. As far as the lineup, there's not much speed and there's not much defensive ability to be found.

    The only thing this team will be competing for is avoiding 100 losses.

    The Twins unfortunately need warm bodies at this point. I didn't know this until just now but Stewart is expected to be out for the 2026 season.

    Good call. Mendez has basically played a full season of AA split over 2 years but he could start there in 2026. I'd expect an early call up to St Paul for him though. In 118 games, he's a .299/.399 BA/OBP guy. Can we round to the nearest dollar here and call him a .300/.400/.440 guy at that level?

    Given that likely log jam in St Paul, who out of those 5 can play 1B? I would try Gonzalez and/or Fedko.

    The first month of the season would be a pretty good time to try out Roden before the other 3 potential difference making prospects are ready to go as well.

    The lazy assumption is to put a guy in the bullpen and their velocity is gonna jump a few MPH due to maxing out. Doesn't happen for all though. Ober's velocity dip looks permanent...

    Maybe we can get a reliever whose arm explodes whenever they pitch more than 20 innings like Brock Stewart.

    Austin Martin in LF is slightly more tolerable than Larnach. I fear he may be the one asked to fill in elsewhere around the infield because our depth there is also extremely thin.

    It’s hard to believe the Twins are planning on Larnach playing LF again. But here we are, set on a Larnach - Buxton - Wallner OF to start 2026. Good luck to the pitching staff. The defense behind them is going to be among the worst in all of MLB.

    Feels like the Phil Hughes situation repeating itself. Ober is gonna have to Houdini his way out of a lot of trouble this season.

    It's almost like you are the one who's never been near a lake in your life. You've never anchored down 20-30 feet from the shore and jump in to cool down without a life jacket on? I highly doubt Correa was hundreds of feet away from the shore or the boat. He could still yell towards the boat he needed help and his father in law acted quickly to get to them.

    The only law in Minnesota is children under 10 are required to wear one. His son was wearing one.

    Matt Bowman opts out of Minnesota. So the bullpen is pretty much set.

    I was reminded from a Facebook memory... On this day, March 21, 2010, Joe Mauer signed an 8/$183 million extension. $23 million AAV was wild at the time for the Twins... I guess times haven't changed in that regard.

    Lake Minnetonka gets very deep in spots over 100 ft in depth. It’s no joke. I have more empathy with Correa because I almost drowned myself on the lake. I’m forever thankful to my friend David De La Pena who recognized I was struggling and jumped in to save me.

    Not Vikings or draft related. Just wanted to let y'all know Jerome Bettis Jr. exists. Starting to feel old reading these names. It won't be long and Adrian Peterson's many kids will spawn on college rosters and probably some NFL rosters.

    Depends how aggressive we are with prospect promotions this year... If injuries derail the difference makers like Jenkins, E-Rod, Priellipp etc, or we punt on promoting them, it will be difficult to hit a stretch goal of 75 wins. Sad to say.

    Same. They'll end up taking another developmental tackle in the late rounds. Rouse is probably just a camp body at this point in his career.
