With the Tigers having already lost today, this makes the division as a whole 69 games under .500.

I guess that's the definition of a not very good team -- no hitting when you get pitching, no pitching when you get hitting. Oh, the Cubs were 11 for 22 w/RISP.

    Doesn't it always?

Fun fact: All 5 Central Division teams lost Friday which means the division as a whole is now 67 games under .500.

Wow, I'm an old you know what, and I have never heard that before.

Wait a minute, Morrow comes in with 2 men on and a 4 run lead, gets one out, and gets the save??!! Someone explain that one to me.
  7. VATwinsFan
    That’s rather deflating. Ugh.
  8. VATwinsFan
I was going to say something about Berrios and a 3 run lead. I guess it’s a good thing I didn’t.
  9. VATwinsFan
Someone had to do it. I'm glad it wasn't me.

And our heroes extend their lead over the Tigers for second place to 1-1/2 games.
  11. VATwinsFan
    Do we have a choice?
  12. VATwinsFan
Isn't this where a PB by Garver comes in?

"Whether we win or lose, it'll be depressing to you".
  14. VATwinsFan
    . What you said.
  15. VATwinsFan
4 under .193 and 2 more at .230 or less. Seriously?

Littell pitching for Rochester tonight against the not so vaunted Syracuse Chiefs (currently last in the Intl League Eastern Division), who are of course not to be confused with the Syracuse Bulldogs of Slap Shot fame. "It's him!!" "Oh this young man has had a very trying rookie season, with the litigation, the notoriety, his subsequent deportation to Canada and that country's refusal to accept him, well, I guess that's more than most 21-year-olds can handle... Ogie Ogilthorpe!"

Taylor Motter approaching, if not exceeding, Bret Boone's 2005 numbers. Bring back Petit.

Somone forgot that the last week of May the Twins were behind 8-0 after 4 against Cleveland and 9-0 after 2 against KC, and almost won both games. It's one thing if you steal with those kind of scores in the 8th or 9th, it's different if it's before then.

As hard as it is to believe, the Twins are two games over .500 for June.
  20. VATwinsFan
And the Twins storm into a tie for second place.
  21. VATwinsFan
    I’m afraid you’re probably correct.
  22. VATwinsFan
In other news, Ryan Jeffers is batting a not too shabby .733 for Elizabethton. How far does he get this year, AA?
  23. VATwinsFan
So if I say the Twins will be 15 games out at the All Star break, am I being an optimist or a pessimist?
  24. VATwinsFan
Why not give Astudillo a chance and get Cave a bunch of at bats? Maybe even Carter? Belisle out, Busentiz/Curtiss/Anderson in?
  25. VATwinsFan
And the death spiral begins to accelerate....
