  1. I would love to explain! I meant 5-10 MORE. one word makes all the difference.
  2. Before I read the article I thought the Twins were primed to hit alot more homers this season. After looking at the breakdown by position, I don't feel the same. I think a very modest improvement is all that can be expected. The first 5 guys on the list seem to cancel each other out. Arcia is my favorite Twin and I love his potential but expecting more than 5-10 homers from him is pushing it. Vargas has potential but he is a serious candidate to succumb to the sophomore slump. Hunter and the CFer will probably cancel each other out. If we hit 10-20 more, we only jump a couple teams and are around league average. I think that is likely.
  3. I would prefer Mauer to start the year and let Santana prove that he can mantain his impressive rookie year pace in the 7-9 holes. After the first month, revisit the topic and potentially push Santana to 1 Mauer to 2 and Dozier back from 2-3. This would be assuming Mauer doesn't find his man muscles and start putting more balls over the fence.
  4. Thanks, Seth. I misunderstood your piece on him. Hopefully if he make a dominating start to the season he will move up to the FSL and join Stewart. I think he has a chance to rival Stewart for the top pitcher in the system after Meyer and Berrios graduate next season.
  5. I'm shocked! No one seems to notice the biggest difference between Hughes from NY to MN... it is so obvious that it must go overlooked. The Yankees failed to notice that what Hughes needed the most was in fact a beard. That thing reeks of confidence.
