  1. Would he be the highest ceiling Twin prospect since....Sano?
  2. Has anyone seen any earlier spring reports on him? Has he reported to camp? Has he ballooned or did he work on his conditioning in the offseason?
  3. Is Hildenberger healthy? If Burdi is healthy I'd hope they push him to AAA No need to be conservative with him at this point
  4. Didn't he have a 2 shoulder injuries and elbow problems?
  5. I hope they push wade this year. Would be nice to see him start the year at AA
  6. Fargo is a fine place, but I would guess that these words haven't been said very often
  7. Those comps are not bad. But fringe 4th or 5th OF'ers who will start the year at AAA should be higher than 43 in my opinion. Light hitting speedy good D OF'ers who are at AAA have value. I would put him in the high 20's. He is never going to be an MLB regular starter, but he could put a few seasons in the majors going back and forth.
  8. I wonder if Cederoth will benefit from a different developmental philosophy. Next year is big for him. It would be great to see him be a factor in the AA bullpen come August. Whitefield is a a guy to watch. 31 stolen bases in a short season is no easy feat. He is young, raw and needs to be coached up. But so far he is showing a good eye at the plate and if he turns those singles into xbases he could be at Fort Meyers by 2018 as a 21 year old. Once there anything can happen.
  9. Denard Span had that attitude and it served him well! It was a bummer that he struggled last year, as he was getting a lot of positive reports. Hopefully he can turn it around, cut down on strike outs and put the bat on the ball
  10. Why? If it doesn't happen now, it can happen later. Maybe a contender's 2Bman breaks a knee in Spring training. Self Imposed deadlines are just that and can broken self imposedly
  11. If all goes to plan the Twins and White Sox will be getting good again at the same time. I'm looking forward to that rivalry rekindling.
  12. I don't disagree and don't think Dozier's value is going to get any higher. But if the FO doesn't like the deal, they shouldn't just take whats on the table. Id like this done before Twins Fest, and the longer this goes on the more likely Dozier starts the year as a Twin
  13. In less than 2 months Pitchers and Catchers report in. Times a wastin'!
  14. Nice article. (Even though we have been saying the same things for the last several years) its not so bleak. But will require a lot of things to break the Twins way - they can't get bad results/unlucky EVERY year. Jay has the stuff to be a top line starter - he just needs to stay healthy and build up stamina. He could be in the bullpen at the end of the year for the Twins and ready to be a rotation fixture by 2018. Stewart also has the ability to be a a really good MLB starter. My hope is he realizes that hitters have the ability to catch up to his stuff so he has to learn to use his pitches to get strikes outs. He could be starting games for the Twins in July
  15. Wow. Great effort here. Thanks for putting this together, I agree with many of the others that it seems a bit odd to include guys who did not sign. It really skews the data.
  16. Luis Arraez is 19 years old....19!!!! Yes his BABIP is unsustainable...but...holy cow. What a 2016 for the kid...
  17. Trading Dozier is the right long term move. - I just hope Falvey and Levine have had time to self scout the organization.
  18. They saw Garvers's D in the AFL and couldn't sign a catcher fast enough.
  19. I would like to know where he prefers to play - 3B, 2B or OF?
  20. Wow where did Arraez's power come from? I still think he is going to struggle when he faces better pitcher but what he is doing has been fun to watch
  21. If Goodrum can keep stay healthy, get walks and start hitting for power he would become pretty interesting. The injury bug and his bad plate discipline have been holding him back. He is a good athlete with positional flexibility so if he cuts down on the K's he could be a great bench player.
  22. I am enjoying watching the development of Rodriguez as he turns into a pitcher. Hopefully the club pushes him a bit next year
  23. Romero & Jorge - Yes Take Off: Light Kintzler Pressly
  24. Can an injured player stay on the 60 day list during the offseason?
