  1. Ferrari outfield. Speed and gunz.
  2. Hunter still isn't swinging the bat like before the All-Star game, but he's got about 75 percent of it back. I don't disagree with giving Buxton a day or two off, but Hunter still isn't back to even what he was earlier, which was a slow outfielder with a fading bat and a below average arm.
  3. Bremmer was right about their radar gun. Kansas City's is at least a couple mph optimistic.
  4. Looks a bit dubious on weather radar. That rain isn't going to stop for the top of the ninth inning.
  5. Whoa, May just threw a 98mph heater. Spicy meat-a-balla!
  6. Idle speculation at Twins Daily! For shame!! ;-)
  7. I would sentence him to five days of hard hot tub and massage. Ride the bench, gimpy! Unfortunately, the team doesn't do too well without Sano in the lineup.
  8. His weight transfer looked awkward, like he didn't want to drive hard off his rear leg. Is it the right hammy that's sore? Looked like it.
  9. I wonder if Sano's hammy has been messing up his swing.
  10. Great play by Rosie and Plouffe. I hope his arm isn't hurt too bad. Crashed into that wall pretty hard.
  11. Ever since he got his SS job back, Eduardo Escobar has been playing very happy baseball. Like a man who finally gets justice, he looks liberated and joyful with every play and every at-bat. I say leave this guy at short as long as he's wearing that big 'EE' t-shirt under his uniform.
  12. Luck won out over Dick's jinx! Blooper from Super Escobar!
  13. I'm not superstitious, but damn Dick, how hard do you have to jinx a guy... "You almost expect Escobar to get a hit..."
  14. Just got in. Waffles and chicken at the IHOP was kinda nasty. Labor Day treat!
  15. How has Tyler Duffey pitched his way off your rotation? Bender, Extra E, Big Bend, Doctor Hook, etc. He has earned his spot at least as much as Trevor May did. You can't stash arms like that at the AAA level. Duffey gets guys out!
  16. It's a lot easier to find relievers than to find good starters. May will be in the rotation next season. Big, strong, intelligent guy with good, improving stuff. He's a starter. Assuming for a moment that Berrios makes the team in spring, you could have a starting rotation of May, Berrios, Gibson, Duffey, and Santana. That's a pretty good bunch. In the bull pen I could see a serious tryout for Nick Burdi as reliever/closer, and maybe move Perkins to platoon closer/setup with Jepsen and Burdi. Next season is when some of the AA and AAA pitchers have to start appearing with the major league club. Flame throwers like Jake Reed, JT Chargois, Zach Jones, etc, have to start rising quickly to bolster the team's mediocre current crew.
  17. I feel like I have to go to the bathroom. A lot. I think the Twins bullpen is in my lower intestine.
  18. Maybe Molitor has to get strict with his relievers. If you walk somebody, you get yanked. Period. Just do that for the rest of the season. See if they get the message.
  19. I was thinking of going out and crashing my car, but maybe I'll stay here and just light some farts for a while. It actually works better at night, when you can see the flame...
  20. Well, at least Cotts didn't walk that guy. But walking Carlos Gomez was lame. I guess we are seeing why TR didn't give up much for Cotts.
  21. I repeat, not. walking. people. is. important. Please, Twins pitchers, at least make the opposition earn their way on base.
  22. There it was, Dallas Keuchel fanned Sano for the third time with the same down and in curve. Keuchel gave up three home runs in this game, but there was nobody on base. Not walking people is important.
  23. Twitching like Mike Tyson would be nice... ;-)
  24. That was an angry home run by Aaron Hicks. Good.
  25. I'm still glad I watched this. Otherwise, I would not have seen the great performance by Tyler Duffey, and then the implosion of Trevor May, who had a spell of the kind of wildness that got him traded for Ben Revere. Baseball is a game about pressure. Winners apply pressure; losers feel it.
