  1. I think I'll open them again! Eddie comes through!!
  2. Agree. Didn't realize that when posting.
  3. Watch us find a way to lose this one. I can almost see it already.
  4. Definitely. Need to force the opponent to make a play there.
  5. How did that happen? Probably from not paying attention.
  6. That lead didn't last very long. Looks like we may need to score more than a few runs tonight, which is very problematic for this team. I hope they're up to it tonight.
  7. Geez, we can play small ball. Who'd have thunk it?
  8. So much promise for that inning and so little to show for it. Not terribly surprising, unfortunately. Sigh.
  9. And we're facing yet another lefty starter. UGH. We all know the incredible problems we have against lefty starters, regardless of their caliber or ability level.
  10. UGH! Not the least bit surprised by this assessment of the game.
  11. While I didn't expect the hitting approach to change overnight, even after the team meeting in Atlanta, I was expecting to notice some incremental improvements. Thus far, outside of Friday, I have not gotten the sense that much of anything of significance has changed. I didn't sense it yesterday and maybe someone who actually watched the game today can comment on that point. If we’re still seeing the same garbage after a home series against KC, then, in my mind, it might be nearly time to take a very hard look at how this team is constructed and managed on a day to day basis. As a long time fan, I hate even thinking this and being this pessimistic, but it's becoming increasingly clear to me that all is not well here and some significant change is needed here or we're just going to keep spinning our wheels here.
  12. Predictable end to this one. Sigh.
  13. Problem is that moral victories don't help win games.
  14. And even quicker, it fizzled into nothing.
  15. Not all that surprised that with a runner on 3rd with one out, we couldn't come up with a clutch hit.
  16. And a lot of us probably saw something like this coming. AARGH.
  17. Now it's all but over. D#%*. Unfortunately.
  18. Sonny pitched well tonight. It's a shame that he'll probably get a loss for his efforts.
