  1. That looks seriously uncomfortable!
  2. Since last year was more or less a wash, just May as a winning month. Did TD GT even exist the last time we had a decent team? I wonder if they would be as much fun misery does love company!
  3. In the beginning of the year, there were a couple threads calling for season predictions. I can't remember anyone who projected 62- 100. I was pessimistic, but even I wouldn't have sunk to that.
  4. Speak for your self, I for one am of sound mind and body, or my mom would not have let me live in her basement for the last 28 years!
  5. Don't you think we should finish the season first, maybe see if one of our.............. Ah, just forget it.
  6. I wouldn't bother. Actually by TD GT standards your post was thoughtful and timeless......... And some other lesses also.........
  7. That was a play. Quite the arm on young Sano!
  8. Comments like that often tweak the interest of law enforcement professionals.
  9. Your list seems somewhat short......
  10. Looks a little like the bathroom wall in room 7 at the Bates Motel.
  11. I woulda went with "it's me", as compared to being a figment of Barks imagination!
  12. The secret to a successful MLB career is to be able to hit as often as possible in the inning after the Twins score.
  13. ............. You mean that's not you?
  14. Never has the word "available" struck such terror onto the masses!
  15. I am not sure what you are insinuating, but there is a definite correlation between watching Twins games and BDSM. In fact there's even a chance the scars from BDSM heal quicker?
  16. I had not checked the lineups until I saw this. By the end of the week, Molly will tell you how difficult it is to find AB's for the call ups! Lol. We also solved the problem of anyone attempting to throw out a runner at the plate late in the game! (Or early in the game, or in the middle of the game, or after the game........)
  17. Well you could view it as having an exceptional throwing left fielder, or a not so exceptional throwing catcher? It would be in the eyes of the beholder. Or the point might be that the OF'er throws well enough that one would even bother to think of such a comparison.
  18. IF I am reading FanGraphs correctly, and thats a big IF last year Rosario had 16 assists, not sure if they were all clean throw outs. Suzuki had 14 CS. This year it's Rosaio 10 and Suzuki 12. Is that possible? For a LF to throw out more runners than a catcher? Again, I might be misinterpreting the graphs.
  19. Jham made some interesting points. When I saw him throw it, I thought ugh, go to second. But as it got there, he beat the runner by 5', but off the plate. With a catchable chest high throw. Results matter of course. But the guy who made the biggest mistake was the third base coach, sending home the non tying run with two outs, against probably the best LF arm in baseball in the last two years. The second mistake was the catcher (Murphy?) not getting into postion to catch it, and not catching it, the third mistake was the ball was offline, but not fatelly so. Who did what counts, Grossman and one of the Shaefer twins should have thrown to second. Rosario could have, and I am sure no one would have commented about the player trotting to the plate about the time Dozier had the ball. Molitor is not unhappy the the play went that way, he's unhappy that Rosario did it. Anyone care to guess what his reaction would have been if it had been Plouffe, Suzuki, Dozier, or Mauer?
  20. The Twins need pitching, and more than one. The only two ways to get the type of pitchers they need is trade a high end veteran, or a high end MLB prospect. Our list of high end veterans is not a list, it's a name. (Sanatanas age and contract won't bring much, he's a wash) As for prospects you probably could include Sano, Buxton, Kepler, and Polanco. On a sliding scale. I believe Sano and Buxton still have high MLB interests. Kepler will have admirers, likely more than we think. Polanco? He won't bring what Dozier would, but on this team he would fill our needs well. He likely can play second, better than SS, he seems a very solid hitter, and we really don't need power, we have plenty of that profile player. And he will be here when we are relevant (maybe) again. Notice I did not include the FA market. While the options above are open for debate, there is little need to include irrational fantasy in that discussion,
  21. No Ginger? No Mary Ann? No Like!
  22. I put out one of my usual thoughtful and concise spot on posts, and it disappeared into thin air. Bottom line, I agree. Is the announcing crew, parroting the coaching staff, i.e. Rosario. Plouffe completely blew that catch at 1B, most high school kids catch that because they don't stretch too early. He goes unmentioned. There are more examples, but anyway, there seems a correlation between the media comments, and the pronouncements from the coaching staff.
