  1. Festa hasn't gotten through 5 innings in his twins starts this season either, but is the better option going forward.
  2. The double header and short starts yesterday required some sort of move, SWR was the obvious and only choice, Funderburk can pitch again between now and Sunday, SWR could not. I think a decision for Sunday needs to be made sooner rather than later, Festa and Matthews pitch Friday and Saturday and Morris, who is scheduled to pitch Sunday, would have to be added to the 40 man. With the team not having another day off until next Thursday, I don't think a BP game is a viable option, but it's not my call.
  3. He has games like this, but I think Buck will be ok, he's hitting .333 with 1.032 OPS over his last 15 games....
  4. And politicians continue to use "Born in the USA" despite it being anti-American....what's your point
  5. No insurance run because Willi was showboating...
  6. Better see Kiersey in RF next inning after Castro's lack of hustle
  7. Very inconsistent; he's missed several "center cut" pitches, but has given Webb several off the plate
  8. Twins SP ERA down to 3.34 after Paddack's start tonight.
  9. Paddack with a 1.98 ERA in 27.1 IP over 5 starts since his first two disasters...(pending Varland stranding the base runner)
  10. He's at 73 pitches, send him out there, but with a short leash.
  11. Given Correa's past foot problems I have no problem with him "giving himself up"....
  12. And an 8 pitch inning.....madness I say, madness.....
  13. Followed by a 7 pitch inning from "Paddy" Paddack...

  15. Tell me that WPA means nothing without telling me WPA means nothing: Top 3 WPA: Brooks Lee .279, Ty France .144, Griffin Jax .105 Lee had a horrible day going until he hit that double, in fact the Orioles were ahead 2-1 until the 6th because of Lee....(and, believe it or not I am a big fan of Lee's...these advance metric stats not so much).
  16. Still tough to gain in the standings when the teams above you are playing better than you are: (Last 10, 20, 30 games) DET (7-3, 13-7, 21-9) CLE (7-3, 13-7, 19-11) KC (8-2, 14-6, 19-11) MIN (6-4, 12-8, 15-15)
  17. An 80 mph exit velocity base hit looks like a 105 mph exit velocity base hit in the box score (to paraphrase an old quote).....
  18. 3 pt takedown by the former HS wrestler for the third out....
  19. In regards to the KOC quote, the NFL doesn't have minor leagues like MLB does, "talented" players wash out of the NFL all the time. Talented or not, good eye or not, he strikes out 32% of the time over his career, quite often looking. He needs to be aggressive earlier in the count; hitting at the major league level is tough enough, but hitting with 2 strikes is even tougher and is not something that all players can do.
  20. Agreed, at least 7 strikes called balls at the bottom of the zone in that inning alone...
