Clemens hit a 2 run 2B and Lewis hit an RBI 2B in the 6th 9/16/25 - 4.2 IP, 4/4 R/ER, 6/5 K/BB, 1 HR; NYY 10 MIN 9. Outman hit a 2 run HR. This was the game that Rocco allowed Zebby to give up 9 runs in 3 innings and the team almost came back to win...

    Didn't read all the comments, yet (long day of travelling), but my thought is he only needs to hold SS down until the All-Star Break at the latest. Culpepper is close, and the Twins promoted Keaschall after roughly 55 PA's at St. Paul.

    Agree on Martin and SWR, not so much Clemens, as mentioned earlier, his month of June skewed his overall numbers. I would also add Funderburk. Clemens slash from July 1 to the end of the season: 65/78 GP, .217/.269/.412 (.681 OPS, app. 87 OPS+), 10 HR, 26 RBI, 59/16 K/BB, 0.6 fWAR. I wouldn't exactly call that seizing an opportunity. Funderburk slash from July 1 to the end of the season: 30 GP, 29 IP, 3-1 W/L, 1 SV, 1.86 ERA, 31/14 K/BB, 0 HR, 0.6 fWAR.

    Get that rule out of baseball all together. The NHL doesn't do shoot-outs or 3-on-3 hockey in the play-offs , they play 5-on-5 until a goal is scored.

    Re-seeding after the Wild Card round is a good idea, allowing the top seed to pick who they want to play, not so much (and could be really embarrassing if they lost to their hand-picked opponent)
