  1. So I love KOC and I don't listen to Barreiro. The reasons I have some concerns is 1) After the Rams loss, KOC sorta/kinda threw Darnold, KAM, and the IOL under the bus in a game where many people thought he was clearly out-coached (by his own mentor). And he didn't seem to take any responsibility for the loss and there are legit criticisms of how we handle the offensive play calling in that game. From going for it at the end of 2nd half, to the lack of using a TE to help block, etc. 2) KAM pushed back a bit on how to fix the IOL by suggesting that one area to work on could be passing schemes, which suggest some disagreement between the two. 3) He seems to mostly be bringing in people from the McVey tree instead of getting folks with other views of offensive scheming. No one on our team has enough experience to tell KOC that our offensive gameplan isn't working. All of that said, I love KOC. Defended him all year. Think he'll win a superbowl here. But if there are issues of concerns that could be valid, those are them. I tend to agree with Levi that KOC isn't that stubborn and if we had a Delvin Cook on our team, the offense would have looked different as well.
  2. Agreed. One of my biggest concerns is that KOC is immune from helpful criticism - let's see if he brings in other offensive minds but bringing in a guy from run-first teams is a legitimately good sign.
  3. The few draft things I've read say this is a good draft for RB and DL so, yay!
  4. I don't think they should. He'll be 28 next year and I thought he played ok for a guy coming back from nearly an entire year long injury plus no training camp to get in a rhythm with the new QB. Also, with some issues around Addison, they'll need another dependable option for McCarthy.
  5. Lots of interesting thoughts and links in this article. https://www.dailynorseman.com/2025/2/15/24366350/daniel-jones-sam-darnold-trey-smith-milton-williams Two things sorta jump out at me. 1) the offseason plan where we get RG Smith, S Holland, DL Williams, and CB Samuel. Man, if we actually pulled those, or even three of those four, I'd be thrilled. 2) KAM's comments about how fixing the offensive line, along with Seattle's GM's comments, is not quite as simple as people think and KAM suggesting, among other things, "It could come from how we do things from a pass protection standpoint." I think this is the closest we've seen to a conflict between him and KOC. KOC said we have to get better talent, the GM maybe suggesting we need better schemes. I also could be over thinking this but it'll be interesting to see. I've said multiple times I love KOC but I do want him to bring in another offensive mind outside of the McVay tree. I hope he does.
  6. This mock draft has the Vikings trading down six spots with the Bills and picking up two extra fourth round picks in exchange. https://www.nfl.com/news/three-round-2025-nfl-mock-draft-round-one They have us taking a corner at 30 and a RB for our comp pick in the third round. I'm not sure those are exactly what we'd be looking at but I wouldn't be surprised if we did something sort of like this. I don't think we'll trade out of the first round.
  7. That's insane. Yeah, I'd bet $5 on Barkley getting 100 yards in the Super Bowl. I actually think the Eagles will win.
  8. Jags hire our assistant quarterback coach/assistant offensive coordinator, Grant Udinski, to be their offensive coordinator. Udinski is 29 years old. Liam Coen will still call the plays in Jacksonsville. https://www.dailynorseman.com/2025/2/6/24360070/jacksonville-jaguars-hire-grant-udinski-offensive-coordinator-minnesota-vikings As someone in the comments section of this article noted, I was a bit surprised that Udinski is the only coach we've lost and that folks like Flores, McCardell, and McCown were not hired. I think the Jags/Coen want to say they are grabbing an up-and-coming offensive genius.
  9. I always think of this as an early 80s new wave song but it actually came out in 1989/1990.
  10. I'm not sure I would. He's great but he's 29. He's a 4-3 end, not sure how he'd work as a 3-4 end although I would imagine he'd do fine but I'm not sure. And we have Van Ginkle, Greenard, and Turner already. I think the cost - while not as much as two first rounders - would be excessive. I'd rather keep our first this year but if we were going to trade it, I'd try to steal someone like the Giants Dexter Lawrence (no idea what his contract is) who can help the interior defensive line.

  12. A "no comment" might have worked better.
  13. ESPN article on it. Doesn't really say much. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/43507710/nfl-vikings-jj-mccarthy-sam-darnold-daniel-jones-qb
  14. I suspect the Jags will have a new coach in three years and won't have won 11 games in that span. I really hope the league penalizes them for violating the Rooney Rule.
  15. The play before the 4-1 was pretty close. Thought it was a first down. Oh well, Buffalo is still in this but close calls don't seem to go their way.
  16. KC is just a little bit better
  17. Geez, this isn't starting the way Buffalo wants
  18. Me. I said. Man, let's go Buffalo.
  19. Nah, games happen. Detroit normally beats Washington.
  20. This will be a blow out
  21. Yeah, their defense isn't a strength
