  1. This is insane but Cleveland starters are now 0-17 in their first start since 1999.
  2. Yep. This team really thinks it can win every game. Amazing culture. Defense was really clutch, despite giving up 100 yards on the ground. Also, give credit to KOC, his pay calling was a lot better today
  3. Defense holds again Let's go offense!
  4. Not a great time to miss a field goal
  5. Defense keeping us in it
  6. Too many penalties but I'm impressed with how well the offensive line has actually blocked. No sacks. Mason's fumble really hurt and he isn't running well since then. Defense is keeping us in the game, as expected. We should win.
  7. Alfred Collins punched it out. I missed the game but he was one of the players in the draft I was excited about.
  8. Hopefully, KOC will have a few extra tightend formations to help out.
  9. Man, playing in the NFL is brutal. Shaquille Leonard is done. First team all-pro 3x. DROY. Entered the NFL at 23 years old. Played his last game at 28. At least he signed a big extension a few years ago so he should be financially stable. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46448511/three-all-pro-shaquille-leonard-retiring-colts
  10. Yeah, we should win this pretty handily but their defense could be in our backfield all day. Still, Gabriel, I thought, was a bit of a reach and will likely turn the ball over several times. I know they have to go to him before they go to Sanders but, geez, he's not that good. But he can run and has a strong arm, so we'll see what happens.
  11. Hear me out, we trade them Wentz, let Brosmer play against the Browns and then go with McCarthy when he's healthy after the bye.
  12. Hi all. Missed the game chat, sorry. I had a few thoughts. 1) KOC is a really good coach. This team was not in the game yet somehow the team stayed in the game, got the ball back and probably should have stolen a win. That's really incredible. This team doesn't quit. Whatever this coaching staff has done has really worked. The players think they can win, even down late. Amazing culture they've created. Honestly, Zimmer Vikings would have been destroyed. 2) KOC still is struggling on play-calling. I love his offense and, when the o-line is blocking, it can be devasting. But he still gets too cute and takes too long to adjust to challenges from the defense. He needs to get better. Still, love him as a coach. Really think he'll win a super bowl for us. 3) Seen enough of Wentz. McCarthy is the starter when he's healthy.
  13. I think the Vikings will win but it could be an ugly win. I think our defense should keep the score low but if our o-line struggles, we could struggle. Hopefully, it's another blowout for us.
  14. I completely forgot the Seahawks were even playing last night. Too bad, I wanted to see Darnold. Glad he's having a good year for them.
  15. I think you saw a different game on Sunday than I did. Besides the first drive, Wentz didn't really look good until the game was taken over by the defense. And this 7/8 quarters thing is a silly Cris Collinsworth talking point. If he threw the TD to Jefferson a minute earlier, does it matter? Here's the thing, McCarthy played well enough week one to be the NFC offensive player of the week. And we should've been up at half in the Falcons game but for some weird play-calling and coaching once he drove us to first and goal at the 2. He's not a finished product, not by a long shot. But he's good enough for the Vikings to win with now and, hopefully by playoff time, be a lot better.
  16. I'm not as worried. I don't think Wentz was all that good, actually. His numbers were better than he was - and JJ's numbers against Atlanta were worse than he was. Wentz is 32 - he's not Darnold. He's not going to turn back into the 2017 version. He had happy feet, bailed early (and backwards), and looked down his receivers. He just so happened to be the benefit of an amazing defensive performance and played against one of the bottom five defenses. Too many smart people in the Vikings think JJ will be the guy. I'm not smart enough to say they are wrong. Let's just relax and see how it works out. McCarthy made it seem like he might be back in a week or two so he could start before the Philly game. But, in general, the things that need to improve the most were the o-line and the play-calling. Let's see how those go against the stronger defenses in Pitt and Cleveland.
  17. I love this game
  18. Hopefully the vikings keep their foot on the throat and don't let the Bengals back into this
  19. We got a kicker
  20. Great, great half of football
  21. The defense all season had been really good.
