  1. Just to complain a bit. I bought (whatever the yearly max was) worth of Pfizer into my IRA back into 2017. In 8 years, it has been horrible. Just ugh. My dividends are set on auto reinvestment so I keep buying this turd.
  2. I don't disagree with you but that's just not the NFL. Should be but isn't. As to Wentz, I think he is a perfectly serviceable back-up. If McCarthy is what I think he'll be, yeah, I'd be fine with him as the back-up next year. He has happy feet but he went 2-3 on a pretty brutal schedule and with a pretty bad line in front of him. That's not bad for a backup, really.
  3. This. In the post-game interviews, KOC did talk about keeping him in, saying that Wentz didn't want to come out and the trainer didn't overrule him. As for why he was kept in, my guess is that KOC knew that this was it for Wentz and McCarthy would be starting against the Lions and that Wentz would need surgery. Wentz threw a horrible interception and he didn't want that to be his last pass for the Vikings so he let him go one more series where he called quick short plays where Wentz wasn't hit by the defense. I don't think any coach in the NFL would have done this differently.
  4. I forgot that Rice was a part owner of an NFL franchise. Her and Payton? Ugh, more reason to hate the Broncos. On the other hand, the Rams just traded a 5th for a 6th and CB Roger McCreary. McCreary is in the last year of his rookie contract. I don't know how "good" he is but PFF likes him. https://www.nfl.com/news/rams-to-trade-for-titans-cb-roger-mccreary-ahead-of-nov-4-deadline
  5. That looked bad
  6. Ravens just don't look good. I have no idea how this is the same team that played week one.
  7. Not going to address everything but on a different site someone posted that last year the Vikings ran more traditional 3-4 packages and then dropping Pace and bringing in Metallus against the pass as the base defense. But this year, they've done a bit more 4-3 and Redmond is a good "3 technique" guy but Hargrave isn't playing well enough to demand double teams and that puts the linebackers a bit out of position to watch the cut-back lanes. Essentially, the injuries to Cashman and Van Ginkel and Pace playing worse has really hurt the linebacking corp (and they thought Turner was fine). To get better the vets (Allen and Hargrave) have to start playing better. Both have been MIA this season. Secondly, I don't think Addison has 1st/2nd round trade value. Lastly, Jackson didn't have a great game but (and I may have missed something) he isn't being physically outmatched. He's learning the difference between NFL caliber and college caliber pass rushing. So I'm not quite as worried about him, so long as he can stay healthy. But a new o-line coach might be an off-season priority.
  8. Nah, the Bengals game was a blowout for us. But no, I think this team is much closer to really good than awful, but we gotta get a healthy line and JJ behind center. Let's see what they look like after that.
  9. Other than being very defeatist, "blowing it up" never works. The Vikings are having a bad year but could also easily be 5-2. It's football, "any given Sunday" and all. Hopefully they can get healthy and have JJ back under center and we can see what kind of offense this team can manage.
  10. Worst part of this is now we have to 1) wait 10 days for the Vikings to play again and 2) root for Aaron Rodgers this weekend. Blech.
  11. Well, I'm still getting over jet lag from Paris so I'm calling it. Have a nice night all.
  12. Really bad throw
  13. I doubt he does. He hadn't when we had Dobbs, Mullens, Hall. I also think he has a KG-Flip Saunders type relationship with KOC. It would take a lot for him to go off.
  14. Herbert is really having a great game. I hate that.
  15. Have they all been on the road? It feels like they've all been on the road.
  16. I think the current narrative is that they traded Phillips, the greatest run stopper ever.
  17. Not sure if they had the stat back then but I'd guess Archie Manning with the Saints sometime.
  18. I mean, only two starting offensive linemen so ... But, gads, not fun.
  19. I really hate these refs. That's obviously not a fumble.
  20. Wentz is playing pretty badly here.
  21. More special teams penalties. Rough day.
  22. They spent a top 10 pick on a qb. He's had two starts.
