  1. Early to put out the thread but the game was not moved from Sunday night. I thought they would put a different game into SNF but, apparently, Dallas in prime time is still a huge draw. https://www.dailynorseman.com/minnesota-vikings-2025-season/93604/minnesota-vikings-dallas-cowboys-sunday-night-football
  2. I know we talk about it every week but that decision won't be made until we've seen all the games. So no need to worry now. Let's see what he looks like after Dallas, NY, GB, and Det.
  3. So looking at the standings, I think the Vikings floor would be pick #9. We're currently #11. Somehow, there are eight teams with 3 or fewer wins. Two teams have 4 wins - Cincy and Atlanta. Strangely, the Vikings are the only team with exactly 5 wins. Four teams - Miami, Balt, KC, Dallas - have 6 wins. So, realistically, the ceiling is likely around 15. Atlanta is cooked, I don't see them passing us. Cincy has four games against losing teams left so they could pass us. Miami could lose out. Dallas and KC should get at least two wins. Baltimore, I have no idea.
  4. I think I was fairly clear. The most important thing is JJ's development. If he is our long term answer at QB I don't care about much else. That's the most important thing and what I want to see. (I suppose we could lose all the games 38-35 and also get better draft position but that's not realistic with the roster.)
  5. I agree with that. Georgia's senior corner is a top 50 pick but not, at least now, a first round pick. The write up on him is that he's better in quarters/cover 3 and has some size. Use the first on something else.
  6. Who are the sure fire CBs? McCoy hasn't played all year, Terrell is short, and Delane has physical limits. Those are the top 3 corners I'm seeing. I actually would prefer the safety, Downs, to those corners.
  7. Agree with the o-line, although to the extent a rush got through, it seemed to go through the right side, Fries had some problems. Jackson and Kelly were road graders. Really fun to watch. I think KOC had a good game plan - but he usually does. His problem has been adjusting during games - not during the week. Today, essentially everything went right, he didn't need to do much adjusting. I thought JJ had a very nice game, he made a number of good passes and his run for a first down from the 4 was a big play at the time. That second drive was a killer. I hope this is a bit like mid-way through last year when teams just said Darnold couldn't throw to Jefferson. He struggled a bit but then opened up, hitting other receivers, and the offense got better. Today, for the first time, it looked like JJ wasn't trying to force things and just took open receivers, even TEs. Addison had another couple drops. bleh. He's not been helpful this year. The draft position thing isn't that big a problem. We need JJ to improve. If he improves, we likely win. So be it. I'm ok going from the 8th pick to the 14th if that means we have an answer at QB. Plus, you don't think KAM can draft, so it doesn't really matter. These last five games - now four - are all about JJ developing. And, frankly, the last four games aren't easy - two road games at Dallas and NY (I guess that might be easy) and then the Packers and a Detroit team very likely fighting for a playoff team. I suspect if we win those games, JJ has furthered his development. And if he sucks, we probably lose them all.
  8. GB won. Sigh
  9. Well, good on KOC and his coaching staff that his players aren't.
  10. Yeah, but it's ridiculous that they were left out.
  11. Allen might be enough to finally get Buffalo into the super bowl but, man, they make things ugly.
  12. Another turnover, nice
  13. Wonder the last time a team was shut out and then shut out the opponent the next week?
  14. Man, Jefferson attracks a crowd
  15. Geez, Ertz probably really hurt
  16. We've eaten clock at a rate that would have made Zimmer smile.
  17. Three possession game
  18. If JJ flips the switch, we don't need draft slot as much
  19. Healthy line probably helps a lot. Simplified play calling. More reps. And bad defense.
  20. What a drive
  21. Nice fist drive. Let's repeat that.
