I kinda agree that Darrisaw should just fully heal at this point but it's probably not quite that simple. I don't know but suspect he has certain incentives in his contract so playing more gets him more money. He's also probably incredibly competitive and doesn't want to sit. And football teams tend to reward and nurture that kind of thinking - even forward thinking orgs like the Vikings - so he has the football culture to keep him on the field as well. I'm sure his line coach is whispering in his ear, "man, JJ's finally coming around, we want you protecting his backside so he can keep developing. You're the man."

Mariota has had a nice little career as a back up after being a failed starter. I think Tua could be a really good back up, someone who can energize an offense for a few games in thy right spot but not for a full year. But I suspect he still thinks he should be a #1. I don't think he's a fit here but will be interesting to see how this plays out. The lack of quality QBs and injuries are going to be huge factors for guys like him and Murray.

I assume that he'll stay if he doesn't get a head coaching job but you're right, even if he doesn't get that, some team could try to outbid the vikes. The Dallas SB nation forums were pretty complimentary to Flores last week. I'd be pretty worried if he left.
