  1. The Twins could use a power bullpen arm much more than an iffy starter. Put him in the pen where he has always belonged.
  2. Outside of one throw, his defense has been perfectly acceptable too. And as you say...errors happen.
  3. Over the last 28 days, Morrison has hit .282/.385/.513. An .897 OPS. It’s higher over the last 14 days, and even higher over the last 7. Logan Morrison is not a problem. He got off to a terrible start. And the pickoff last night was bad. But he is not one of the problems with this team.
  4. I love the optimism, but man I just don't know if he can improve that much.
  5. Buxton's ABs last night weren't even competitive. Against a below average soft tossing lefty. I'm at a loss...how long can you keep running him out there?
  6. "Weakness." Bilateral neck weakness, is the appropriate term, I believe.
  7. Dismal performance on many levels. Go get 'em tomorrow.
  8. The truth is, I have the Extra Innings pkg and usually watch at least one game per series on the other team's broadcast. Dick is above average, IMO. Bert has grown pretty stale, though. EDIT: To FSN Execs...I'm available, and my agent will take your phone call. I'm on Facebook, hit me up and I'll get you a number.
  9. I think I'd like Provus to stay right where he is. He is REALLY good, and I like baseball on the radio.
  10. This homestand has been demoralizing to ME, I'll tell you that.
  11. Dick, after sac fly to center: "And it won't be a clean inning for Hughes."
  12. Yeah. That and the ringing line drives. That's prolly a bit demoralizing too.
  13. Very much so. Better minor league numbers than Mauer, by far, with obvious power potential.
  14. And just to prove my point, we traded minor leaguer Ramos for proven major league talent Matt Capps. Need I provide further examples of the certainty of my plan? //hides head in shame
  15. I FOUND HIM, MIKE!! HE'S ON THE BULLPEN MOUND. DEEP LEFT CENTER!!
  16. One more data point on why I mistrust prospects. Every. Single. One. Buxton was ranked the number 1 or 2 prospect by all three major services for 3 yrs running. Career minor league numbers of .302/.379/.504. I think the best use of minor leaguers is often to use them to get major leaguers.
  17. I'll take "Questions I would never, ever have expected to see Sixel post for one thousand, Alex."
  18. Carson: "On the other hand, in the bottom half of these innings, it's like a truck load of pepper mills crashed. Traffic ground to a halt."
  19. Carson: "The traffic on the basepaths was so bad with Gibson on the mound..." McMahon: "How bad was it?" ... laughs ... The traffic was so bad, my nav system asked "Are we there yet?"
  20. Carnac: "Name two beings capable of hitting HRs at will against the Twins pitching staff."
