  1. Keaschall has a long way to go to be even average defensively. It's certainly possible his extremely weak arm improves with injury recovery, but no sure thing. And that doesn't address his rather stone-like hands. Improving that's gonna take a lot of work, if it happens at all. But I'd say the juice is worth the squeeze, if he continues to hit like he has. Also no sure thing, BTW. Let him have 2nd for at least 2026. What's the downside? It's not like you're risking contention.
  2. An opinion I share, and made more believable by recent play. If they havent moved one to 1st base now, it ain't happening.
  3. As to the polling: Ownership isn't going anywhere, unfortunately. No point talking about it. Thr FO is objectively below average. How could anyone argue differently? It's been 9 years. Outside of 2019, what have they accomplished? Baldelli is terrible. His teams routinely suck at playing the game of baseball. Not talking talent here...playing the game. And they truly SUCK at it. A team with little talent can still know how to play the game, and do so. That's entirely on the manager. Start the rebuild by getting a better one.
  4. The falloffs in votes cast later on in the season most likely reflect fewer and fewer fans visiting Twins Daily. Fewer and fewer people care about the Twins enough to invest time or emotional energy.
  5. Wallner watched from the dugout. Larnach watched from RF.
  6. I get MLB minimum?? Happy ******* birthday to ME!!
  7. If it's all theoretical and you have no idea what players are gonna do, why the objection to IKF? Gotta see if that light switch flips, no?
  8. Concur with the 1st four paragraphs. Ty France isnt the issue. The issue is he represented the best option. By a wide margin.
  9. Correa, sure. Dobnak, I guess. Nothing else even qualifies as a salary dump.
  10. Outman has been a failure for 2 years now. That's why he's spent much of those years in AAA. Besides which he'll be 29 next year. He's not a prospect. Bradley is pushing 70 MLB starts...and was traded for a reliever...by an organization that depends almost solely on deploying young talent. He's a failed prospect. Expecting better from him is...highly optimistic to say the least. Abel is who they settled for when they couldn't get the real Philly talent. Roden never ever profiled as an above average MLB regular. Nobody should be surprised by this.
  11. I read this as a "trade me" request. Because the rebuild train, as Van put it, pulled out of the station.
  12. With due respect, this makes no sense. You've been (rightly) complaining about this lack of development for several years now. Falvey was hired in the fall of 2016. Coming up on 9 years ago. He's the guy that's driven the team to the point we're at now....basically zero hope for the medium range future. The guy who has signed 1 year vets for 9 years now... ...but IKF would be your breaking point? It's hard to take you seriously if you're not willing to ask for them to do what's necessary to enact what you're endlessly asking for. Falvey is suddenly going to change?? Second, somewhat related point: you repeatedly want to talk "theory" and not names. You want to talk about the Twins infield but not about Brooks Lee or Culpepper. Just theoretical, nameless concepts of players. To me, that's a copout. It's always about specifics.
  13. I'm having trouble paying attention too, but Monday wasn't an off day. The Twins beat the Angels in Anaheim. No, really. It's true!
  14. And 80 percent of percentages you see on the internet are made up on the spot.
  15. Stick to the cheap "3 click bait articles per day stolen from the comments section" Cody. Leave the comedy to Randball.
  16. Concur with the thought Ryan is letting everyone know he'd be OK with pitching elsewhere.
  17. "Multiple pitchers"? Pulled with 5 no-hit innings? Last week? Names, or I call bull****. In fact, I preemptively call bull****.
  18. One small sliver of hope: I now consider it very unlikely that Baldelli survives this collapse.
  19. Not as much pressure as if your only child is a daughter. Edit: ninja'd by almost an hour
  20. Twins get a W tonight behind Ryan. Bet the house. .... Maybe not the house.
