  1. I want the following MLB rule enacted stat: "All pants worn during MLB games must extend below the knee, minimum. This ain't slow pitch."
  2. I bet if I understood this it'd be funny as hell.
  3. 1. No one else will because Santana scored the "winning" (3rd) run, not Vazquez. 2. More importantly, Vazquez baserunning? He gets credit for getting on base, but he couldn't go 1st to third on the following soft single to center, nor score from second on the single to right after that. They scored despite his baserunning, not due to it.
  4. As to the OP, I think I'd let Lewis continue to learn 3rd. But unless/until Lewis can stay on the field for more than 2 weeks, I'd play Lee at 3rd, Castro at 2nd.
  5. "First base. As always. Third base? I Don't Know." What?
  6. Let's not leave our heart in San Francisco. Get out of town with a series win, and possibly Blake Snell in our rotation.
  7. No. A hitter isn't awarded an RBI on a GIDP. Ever. The play you're describing wasn't a GIDP, which requires two forceouts. That ball in play was scored a fielder's choice.
  8. But there's no need to make that decision until Saturday.l
  9. Options are on a yearly basis, and the Twins already exercised his option for 2024. Bringing him up and/or sending him back down are inconsequential as far as options.
  10. Sven and Ole, brothers, live next door to each other. They were talking over the fence between their yards. "Ole," said Sven, " you mebbe should getcha some new curtains for da house." "Now vy would wouldja say sumptin like dat," says Ole. "You know I hate ta spent money on dat kinda stuff." "Vell, yeahbut...it might be time, don'tchaknow. Me and Tina can see right tru da olt ones. Last night we could see you and Lena in the bedroom. Doing...Vell...you know...." "Vell now I know you're yust pullin' my leg," says Ole. "I vasn't even home last night."
  11. This is akin to the "Margot is hitting blah blah blah on Thursdays from June 3rd through July 2nd" line of reasoning that gets repeated herein. Margot is hitting .223/.297/.324 this year. Chopping that up into carefully chosen parts to hide the truth isn't what I'd expect from a TD writer.
  12. 2B Willi Castro S LF T. Larnach L SS C. Correa R 3B Brooks Lee S DH Matt Wallner L 1B C. Santana S RF Max Kepler L CF M. Margot R C C. Vazquez R No Buxton, Miranda, or Jeffers. I can't wait to watch Manny Margot-for-four butcher a couple plays in center
  13. Disappointing game on many levels. Not feeling good about SWR and Paddack this weekend, either.
  14. We're like 12 games into the 2nd half.
  15. I miss last year's second half Kepler.
  16. You sound like JD-Twins and his ridiculous "Margot has an .898 OPS on Thursdays in June if you ignore the day games" And for the record, this will go down as another scoreless appearance for Thielbar.
  17. Two lefties is a row up. It's literally his job. And... there are no low leverage relievers.
  18. Why is Thielbar apparently above any consequences for performance?
  19. Ole came home from work early one day from the pickle packing plant. "Ole, you're home early, vat is da deal?" "Vell," says Ole, "I got fired. Got my ting caught in da pickle slicer. Uffda." "Vell dats terrible. Is your ting ok?" "Oh ya, sure. It's fine. But the pickle slicer, vell, not so good. She got fired too."
