  1. How 'bout that rarest of rarities...a stolen base here?
  2. Whew, worked out, but Lewis...yeesh.
  3. Booth brags about Twins working pitch counts. Jeffers K's on 3 pitches, Twins go in 8 pitches. We know who to blame.
  4. Amid all this second half misery, Pablo Lopez has been a rock. Well done sir.
  5. Not even that long. I got a friend, we go to a bar to watch football, I always bet him a beer on replays. "I bet me makes that catch AGAIN!" "No way!!" He's getting suspicious but I'm up about 400 beers.
  6. I predict the Twins even change their staff. Say, and I'm just spitballin' here, maybe pick up a random lefthander with starting experience that comes available.
  7. Seems like we were due for a break. Most times this second half, that deflection off the pitcher's glove goes right to the SS who throws out Buxton by half a stride.
  8. ARRRR BEEEE EYE!! 2 out ARRRR BEEE EYE no less!!
  9. RBI. The most important stat in baseball.
  10. One must rise pretttttty early in the afternoon to put one over on the Chief.
  11. DId Vazquez just toss the ball to third on Naylor's K, like there were 3 out, or nobody on base?
  12. Anybody who saw Lee casually jog after the ground ball that clanked off his glove last night...while the Cincy player who hit it streaked to second--knows where to start looking for answers. Instead, Baldelli has Lee in today's starting lineup.
  13. Nothing is ever Baldelli's fault. Nor his responsibility. Nothing. Ever. One wonders what exactly IS his job description.
  14. Brooks Lee made one of the laziest plays I've ever seen from a MLB player last night...and the manager starts him today. Lee literally gave away a base because he couldn't be bothered to even pretend to care. That's terrible on Lee, and even worse on a manager who allows it. This is a ROOKIE--a struggling rookie at that--and he's not the least bit worried about how such blatant lack of concern will be received. And as it turns out, he was right. No need to worry at all.
  15. So, who pitches tomorrow when Festa goes 3.2?
  16. yeah, no. Richards is no longer a Twin. You might be thinking of Ober.
  17. Morneau: "28 thousand fans turned out tonight, on this beautiful night for a ballgame." It's a shame they didn't get to see one.
  18. See, I think the cure should maybe come BEFORE someone--a rookie no less--feels no need to even pretend to care about the results.
  19. So a rookie, clinging to a roster spot, boots a ball at third and casually jogs over to pick up the ball as the batter hustles into second. Yup, nothing the manager can do.
