  1. Vargas keeps doing Kennys Vargas things.
  2. Darren Wolfson ‏@DWolfsonKSTP 1m1 minute ago Blue Jays, Marlins, and Indians all w/ scouts at Target Field today, I hear. Toronto interested in Ervin, as @jonmorosi indicated. #mntwins Darren WolfsonVerified account ‏@DWolfsonKSTP The Rangers (Suzuki and relievers?), Phillies, and Angels also have scouts at today's #MNTwins game. CWS guys to watch too, I'm sure.
  3. Jon Morosi ‏@jonmorosi 27s27 seconds ago #BlueJays continuing to pursue starting pitchers, 26 hours away from deadline. One name they're still discussing: Ervin Santana. @MLB
  4. Do-Hyoung Park ‏@dohyoungpark 3m3 minutes ago Molitor also says Polanco is still young enough they're not worried about getting him consistent big league ABs yet. Now how does this make any sense? He's 23, which is young, but right at the age where most mid level prospects are making it to the MLB. He's already hit well in AAA, and by my understanding he is out of options next season. Just let him play. Work out any problems with his defense he has.
  5. Polanco needs to play everyday. Would be nice to know what we have with him. By my understanding, he is out of options next season. Can anyone confirm this?
  6. Good article. Vargas has been great. I'll be really interested to see what he settles into as a player. It's still early - he hasn't had that many plate appearances this season in the MLB, but the results (especially the plate discipline) are encouraging so far.
  7. Jerry CrasnickVerified account ‏@jcrasnick #Twins are shopping Ricky Nolasco, Tommy Milone and Fernando Abad at deadline. No big return hauls there. Nolascos start yesterday couldn't have gone better. Hopefully someone will bite.
  8. So... any teams want one Ricky Nolasco?
  9. Albers is terrible. Shame we didn't score a run there. Would be nice if he stayed out for another inning.
  10. Nice hit Byron. Quintana finally out of the game.
  11. That inning had a little bit of everything.
  12. Alright well that was ill advised.
  13. He could have very easily taken the single and called it a hit. That's the stuff you like to see. Come on Kennys!
  14. Some runs would be nice. Quintana is mowing us down.
  15. Right. His improvements are very easily noticeable since his stint last season. http://i.imgur.com/4jzPvma.png He's swinging at less pitches outside, while also making more contact with pitches outside. Swinging less as well as swinging and missing less. Contact rate is up too.
  16. Nolasco has junk balled his way through this one. Only blemishes were the Eaton leadoff HR and longest single of the year to Morneau. I would take him out before the wheels fall off. Short leash.
  17. Vargas has been pretty awesome since he's came up this season. Small sample but very encouraging.
  18. That was hit hard. Unfortunate DP.
