  1. Good post. One thing I'll say is the comment on Mareks frame. Everyone in his orbit has spoken about the change in his physicality and increased strength since his freshman year. Adding strength is easy and that isn't going to be his issue moving forward imo. If he wants more power production he'll need to make swing changes that more than likely will sacrifice some contact for power, maybe?? I say with how quickly the Twins ran up to make that pick, they're really stoked. I thought Boston would take him 100%. He is an analytics dream so I can see the love fest the FO probably had landing him.
  2. Got your wish. Marek Houston. Great pick, hoped he would last to us. Him, Culpepper and Keaschall are all really nice players moving forward.
  3. You could maybe get that deal for Buxton, according to ESPN, since Philly is pretty set with their pitching staff. I've read reports that have suggested Painter and Crawford for Buck. I love Buck. Truly. But if he can snag Painter, done deal. That's a potential ace. Absolute no brainier if Mr.Glass 2.0 (EmRod) could stay healthy and take his spot rn.
  4. Sabato is the classic case of a guy who was listening to way too much noise and information between the ears, internally and externally. Simplify. Everything. Presto.
  5. Culpepper has that Keaschall feeling about him. Just keeps hitting and getting better. And I'd say GG is all the way back from injury. He has been cooking for quite a bit now, and certainly has regained some value over a year ago. Nice to see.
  6. 600+ MLB at bats and total domination of triple A ball for multiple seasons is not a small sample size. A thousand at bats might be preferable, I'll agree. But it's pretty slim odds he is suddenly gonna fall off a cliff over the next 600. This is who he is.
  7. SMH!!!! Im not sure if the first line, and the last line are actual real thoughts, especially the last one though. Had no idea that spraining an ankle was a willful act. Interesting.
  8. He may not be a real prospect is about the only thing of value here, because he isn't. And Aaron Judge as the extreme example here but I use him because his age and he was a first rd pick, disagrees with your prospect/age theory. I remember fondly people saying the same things about him when I was living in NY 10-15 years ago. Nevermind he just kept grinding, kept playing, like Culpepper, kept slowly climbing prospect lists until debuting in' '16 and slugging a HR his first game. I'm going to assume you're the same Twinstalker I've been reading for 15-20 years on various sites and I'm 100% positive I've read the same takes on virtually every Twins prospect over that time period. If I had a dollar for every time you've dumped on Wallner or ________, and told us he is trash, or too old for his level, I could buy this website And yet, Matt kept grinding, kept hitting 114 mph scorchers and incrementally lowering his k rate and throwing darts from RF and here we sit, that old ass former not a prospect(or whatever you'd call him) who had no chance because man, he is just too old to be a player or prospect right? What's his OPS today? Last couple years? Because I've got a couple dozen posts where you flat out dump on the guy and remind us he has zero chance, he is an AAAA player. This wouldn't bother me if it wasn't your only take over the last couple decades. I'm honestly not even sure why you're a fan of the Twins, lol,
  9. I would add Dasan Hill to the must see list also. We have some really, REALLY promising arms at pretty much every level now.
  10. I guess. They took what will end up being around 2-3 billion in equity and shoved it in their little pockets while fielding a consistently inferior product that was partially funded of course, with tax payer dollars. I'm glad they're gone. They would be the worst owners in all major sports if it wasn't for Glen Taylor existing. Maybe that guy in Oakland or Miami, maybe the Panthers owner. And they aren't moving. Can people stop with it. Baseball wouldn't allow it. It's one of the 15 largest media markets, and growing. If they have competent ownership, they'll draw huge numbers. It cannot be stated enough, people hate the Pohlads. I was prepared to never, ever spend another penny or second of my time on this team ever again after this season. I know countless others in my circle who already were doing it. The Pohlads know this. They can read the room. This team was about to be abandoned by fans this year, it would be embarrassing for them. They should take their blood money and disappear. That family fortune is built off the backs of some of the hardest working people who were flat out screwed over by Carl. Scumbags.
  11. Oh, I don't know? Maybe because they'll be paying somewhere between 2 and 3 billion dollars for this shiny toy. Only in Minnesota are fans worried about the almost unthinkable/impossible happening: an ownership group equally as bad as the current one. Be excited. This is literally better than winning a world series. I know, I was at both and this ranks right up there.
  12. Come on man, you have to know about the iron clad lease. The team literally cannot be moved for 15 years. Fear mongering at its finest. No ownership could possibly be worse than Carl Pohlad and sons. None. Period. This is literally the only move that will move the needle for fans. They could sign Juan Soto this off season and it wouldn't matter one bit because you'd still have an ownership group NOBODY TRUSTS OR LIKES.
  13. I really think this is what they'll do. Probably ERod also, since he missed quite a bit of time. I'd say Rosario also but I don't believe you can go two years in a row.
  14. He could also be designated for the AFL which could also alter things as far as where he begins next year. If they did, and he tore it up in Arizona, I see no scenario where he doesn't start at AA.
  15. I've felt Jenkins was never going be a normal case study for promotions. I think most on here consider him an elite talent, but if it means something coming from a former player, he is more than that. This is a Bryce Harper level of talent. It isn't just the physical tools either. He has what I call the Jerry Rice mind set. Ask Jerry when he felt he had finally arrived, he'll tell you never! That's Walker. Off the charts makeup to go with his elite skill level is when you get guys who don't conform to the normal minor league schedule. Once his in game power catches up to his hit tool, watch out! And the last couple months that power has been showing, frequently, forcing me to acknowledge he will be that rare player who is going to arrive much sooner than a pessimistic fan base is willing to allow themselves to believe. He is very special, and the only thing that will stop him imo is potential injuries.
  16. He'll fit the same way Nick Punto fit. A little piranha!! That's who he reminds me of with more pop. This team could use that fire right now. You can see it in the body language of the team. Long season. Struggling. Injuries. Probably easier next year after they shave the roster and 40 man down.
  17. Probably varies also, depending on how many he throws in an inning. 4 good arms to watch tonight. And Keaschall is gonna see St.Paul in September if he keeps this up.
  18. Walker Jenkins has higher expectations, I GUARANTEE, than anybody on Twins Daily. You simply do not get to that level without setting them to almost unreachable heights. I know from experience.
  19. Stewart was put on the 60 day I thought? If so, he will not be back.
  20. All good problems to have. I smell a trade in about a month.
