I understand that, my point is more to the comments I see on here. If feels like many on here think Roden should be in the starting outfield or at least a platoon. He has been given some run, but what has he earned and he is starting to age out of prospect status.

He is going to be 27 before the next season starts, what is the difference between him and Fedko at this point. Great minor league numbers that have not translated to success in the major leagues.

Can we just be done with Gray, he is not a major league player.

No he is what he is, a 30 year old journeyman, who has had two good months. Can he sustain it for a full season, then I might become a believer.

In 169 AB's in the majors he has a batting ave of .193 and OPS of .553. He had two hits his first game back and 1 in the next five games. His numbers are close to Martin's numbers when he was playing full time and was determined not to be a full time player. And he has had pretty regular playing time in all of his different stints in the majors. And the eye test doesn't overwhelm me that says he is going be anymore then we have seen.

He's not Mis, not every pitcher is going to blow people away. No I don't like all the traffic, but I am looking at the results.

Bailey has given up 1 run in two innings, the offense needs to start doing their job.

It feels like a lot of opinions are influenced because we traded for him. With all the other outfielders we have in our system, he does need to start producing or he will not be a factor for the Twins.

He probably shouldn't be hitting that high up in the order, that is more an indication of the weakness of our roster.

I will be surprised if Buxton is back before the homestand. Shelton always makes it seem like he is close without saying it outright. Buxton should have been on IL after the Colorado series, they are always indecisive on his injuries, then when he does go on the IL, there is no sense of urgency to get him back. We will arrange for counseling for you.

I'm not the one making out the lineup card, take it up with the analytic nerds in the front office. Look at the trends of when Gray starts and this is how it has been working out.

Church of Kreidler, hang in there, the Cubs have lefties going the next two days so your guy will be in there until the bullpen door is opened.

Gray hits LH and they need to maintain the platoon advantage, defense doesn't matter in this case according to their actions.

I agree Gray needs to be in St. Paul as insurance and Culpepper needs to be up here when healthy. Kreidler has cooled off as he has gotten more playing time. But he is our best option right now and needs to be the starting SS. He will start at least two games this weekend at least with 2 lefties starting Saturday and Sunday.

I disagree, this was their plan that they started last year and have kept expanding it this year. No one is pitching past 4 to 5 innings in St. Paul with basically a max of 70 pitches. Their are guys down there were starters. But now they are not developing starters or relievers and this is why they have to keep going to the waiver wire, no is ready for a role up here.

When did Kreidler become the everyday SS, he has had a couple of three day stretches where he was there every day, but he has been in pretty much a straight platoon with Gray.

They haven't even attempted to develop a 7th starter, they have everyone pitching as a bulk guy. They seem to have pushed all their chips in on this concept and it will catch up with them when they need depth. And this is all the way thru the organization. When I was at a game in Cedar Rapids, their game notes had an interesting note, the Kernels starters are averaging 3.1 innings which is dead last in the Midwest League. This concept may have merit for some guys in the lower minors but it seems to becoming the prevailing method of development.

First Tom Pohlad has to hire someone competent to run the front office that can identify the right FA's to bring in and fill the holes on the roster. And this person needs to be improve the player development side of operations. Just signing someone for the sake of making a signing does no good.

Either he is a starter or a reliever. You would be running your bullpen short by one by saving Paredes every fifth day. And hoping he pitches into the 7th or 8th inning usually does not work out, so you are essentially turning this into a bullpen day.

I would still take Lewis over Bell as DH over the course of a season.

I get what you are saying about injuries. Buck has been mostly healthy the last two years. That is what you have a forth outfielder for. As for ERod, some of his injuries have come from dumb plays like diving into first base, can he get smarter as he gets experience you have to hope so. And Jenkins is only 21, I think it is too early to say he will be injury prone for his career. And he seems to have had a lot of soft tissue injuries, the team needs to help him find a training regimen to minimize these. And he is not someone that should be on a straight platoon. So the point still remains they can't go into 2027 with six outfielders in St. Paul. They still will need to make some moves.

Make Royce Lewis a Platoon Bat Caratini is hitting a career .247 with an OPS .699 against RH pitching. So you are going to take a one month hot streak and sit a player with more potential and is better defensively even with limited experience. Yes Lewis has to maintain his production, but the talent is there and they need to give him thru the end of year at least. Otherwise trade him now, I think it would be a mistake. But you don't sit him for Victor Caratini. I would be upset too if I was Lewis if I was benched for a journeyman with 42 games started at 1B in his career.
